LAUNCESTON AWAY
LAUNCESTON I PLYMOUTH PARKWAY 2
Our visit to Pennygillam is never one of our favourable venues. Also we had to avenge the early defeat at home that "Paul smith's" young side inflicted upon us. The elements had made the playing surface slippery, so good football was going to be difficult for both sides. Play was end to end, and took until 25mins before we got a shot on target. The deadlock was broken just before the break. A through ball found "Andy Sargent" beating the off-side trap. He showed some old skills rounding the keeper and with a low left foot shot, gave us the lead. Second half we had to soak up some pressure, so we had to look for the cushion of a second goal. It came in the 75min when one of "Lee Doel's" bustling runs, saw him up-ended in the box. Andy Sargent eagerly grabbed the ball and slotted away a fine penalty for our second goal. They got back into the game with a simple reply. So we had to win all the second balls, and the powers to be, brought on some fresh legs off the bench to protect the much needed away win.
