ELBURTON AWAY

IT WAS A BAD "GOOD" FRIDAY AT HAYE ROAD !!

All credit to lowly Elburton when they inflicted the big upset of the day, when they turned us over in the Easter local derby. A perfect morning and a good crowd saw a game of many missed chances. We were somewhat below strength, with key players missing. Matty Hawke was on the bench (work commitment) and Jamie Morrison Hill (knee). However, the game should have been catered for in the first half. Sammy Mathews saw his shot roll back off the post, and 5mins later, Andy Sargent suffered the same fate. It was going to be one of them days ?. After the break they took the lead with a good goal that caught "Zinny" off his line. We replied not long after . From a free kick Andy Sargent was on hand to equalize. Then the killer blow for us 10mins from time, a ball struck across the face of the goal found the net, to give them all the three Easter eggs !!.
