WE ROUND UP THE "LAMBS"
Not actually in attendance for this one, being at a wedding. But my report for this one done by Al Horswill. He tells me we were at one stage 2 goals down. Losing Will Stringer through injury, it was not looking good. But then Chris Wright came on the scene and got us back with a goal before the break. Second half we became the better side. Getting back level pegs with a further goal from "Wrighty"again. He went on to complete his hat-trick and a brilliant performance for the club. I was told then we lost Lance Bailey after a trip in the box, with the dreaded red card. The game was sealed then with a hand ball for us. Andy Sargent stepped up and duly done the honours. Alan tells me a good crowd in attendance, despite the attraction on the "box". This was a game we needed to win, having pinched the cream of players from the "Lambs"from the last season. I'm sure now they will agree they made a good move !!.
Stay tuned "lidds"
