ST BLAZEY AWAY

"MINUTE SILENCE"
Before the game started, both teams gave tribute with a minutes silence, for an old
"St Blazey" supporter by the name of "Gerry Buddle", who has passed away.
So, off we go. First half no side put their stamp on the game. To be honest, it was poor. We were well below our best, and the home side were not much better. I can see why they are only mid-table. Second half we stepped up the pace a little, but that final chance to score, eluded us. We never tested the keeper with any clear shots on target. Just when I thought level pegs was a fair result, they went and "pinched it". It must have been the 89th min, when the ball was fed into the area from a breakaway. They side-stepped the last defender and found the corner of the net. We were all gutted to lose, so close to the final whistle. (never mind) I trust we had a safe journey home.
