CLYST ROVERS AWAY
was "BRICK WALL" ??
Perhaps we could say best team lost!! But I thought we deserved more than the result. A poor crowd saw a game on a bumpy surface, so the prospect of good football was going to be limited. First half was goal-less, but we were the more stronger side by far. But Clyst keeper "Nick Moyse", was larger than life in the home goal. He was a real stumbling block for our chances. Another asset for them, was his strong dead ball kicks. It penetrated deep into our defence, putting "Matty Hawke and Robbo"on the back foot. We pounded the goal looking for the break, but then Johnny Haverman gave away a silly ball. The resulting corner, found a free head to steal the game. So It was something we are not used to , having not been beaten since Nov of lsat year, at the hands of Falmouth Town. Dave Leonard tried all the options from the bench, but to no avail. We must now take it on the chin, and bounce back to winning ways again. Scroll down for some action.
