IVYBRIDGE TOWN AT HOME
POINTS SHARED WITH THE BRIDGERS !!
The game as always is a battle with our friends from up the a38. Never mind the current positions in the league, it's a hard game. The brave loyal fans braved the artic night and saw both sides out for the win. Play was end to end with both keepers kept on their toes. We took the lead on 15mins. A shot from Andy Sargent took a slight deflection and fell kindly for Chris Wright to finish. They were back level on 28mins with it must be said a great shot. The space was made on the left flank and fired in from 25yds giving the keeper no chance to save. The scoring then was stalemate, but both sides going close for the winner. We came up against a favourite ex-player at Parkway by the name of "Eddy Edwards". The saying goes he was brought out of "mothballs" for the game. Well he was time and time again, the stumbling block for many of our raids on the visitors goal. Our keeper took a bad knock, and we also lost Marc Bonney through injury. So It would be fair to say the single point was a bonus on the night for both sides.
