So, the final day , and a good time was had by all. We had great support as regarding attendance. Scroll down and take a glimpse of the finer moments of the evening as promised. It was good to see again Stuart Cadmore. Take a close look at the beautiful trophy he has donated.
I have enjoyed the season, and tried to involve everyone at the club. If you have not been featured ? and you plan to score a hat-trick, get a red card, or miss a penalty (just look at me and smile ??) Enjoy your summer "Lidds on the Line"

LIFE VICE-PRESIDENT

A very important person is the bloke behind the bar ?? . It's a job that's took for granted. But our "Vic" is there with a broad grin, and ready to pour your pint at every game. His brand of humour is something you look for ? especially when we lose ??

"Vic Easterbrook is now, along with, "Charlie Baggott, Gez, and Alan Horswell" Life Vice-presidents of "Parkway".

CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR

This is an award for a person, who does more than enough to ensure the well being of the club. For the long hours spent taking the entrance money, making the tea for half-time, and selling the draw tickets as well. "Clubman of the year Colin Edwards".

SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR

This is one of the best awards you could win for any club. This year it goes to "Andy Barnes" who had the roll of stand by keeper. He made the squad for the last two games and done us proud. "Sportsman of the year Andy Barnes".

SPONSORS

One of the clubs main sponsors "Steve Masters and his lovely wife Kim" receive a bouquet from the club.

BACKROOM STAFF

THE BACKROOM STAFF

We can now confirm, that we have secured a place into the new league. It was more than good news because of the massive plans that are under going for the new club-house at the ground. We must move forward, if we are to be a top club in the Plymouth area. But let us not forget ! it takes eleven men for the "kick-off", but more than eleven men to get them there ??. So a big thankyou , for all concerned behind the scenes, for their dedicated support for the past season.

THE SQUAD

Here you see most of the squad looking a little dispondent, after the last home defeat in the South Western League. But deep down thinking, we have done enough to secure a place in the new "Peninsula League". Our more than hard working chairman "Mark Rowles" will now with the powers to be , get the new club-house built. This will put us in the bracket of a top club. Also with the joint management of "Roger Fice and Gez Baggott", bringing new blood to the squad , to face the new challege that awaits us all.

"Lidds on the Line"

SID TAYLOR

Visiting keeper "Sid Taylor" brought off some fine saves to keep us at bay.

"Lidds on the Line"

MAN OF THE MATCH

"Martin Sullivan" got our single goal, and also the Man of the Match award for the last time in this league.

MARKING THE DAY

Here you see the powers to be of both clubs , exchanging "pennants" to mark the last game between us in the league.

END OF SEASON

So we come to the end of the "South Western League". It would have been nice to go out with a win, but we must not grumble. "Porthleven", although not interested in the new league ,went away with a fine victory over us. The last game of the season was played out in good spirit. The visiting keeper "Sid Taylor" having a great game and kept us at bay for most of the game. Their two goals in the first half were top quality. We pulled one back in the second period when "Martin Sullivan" turned and shot low to score. He went on to put his name on the last "Man of the Match" for the old league. But both sides had plenty of chances to sew the game up beyond reach, but not on the day.

PRESENTATION NIGHT

We have just heard the news that our "life Vice President Stuart Cadmore, and his good wife" are to join us at our presentation night at the Astor Hotel on the 27th of May. They are both now residing at their new home on the sunny shores of Cyprus. Athough he is thousands of miles away, he will be the first to tell you, who is winning or losing in our league on the day ??. (how does he do that)

He is sadly missed at "Parkway", but we still think he is with us at the kick-off ??

PARKWAY

With the brilliant result against Tavistock, we must be thinking now of securing a place in the new league. One more game to go at home to Porthleven, and the final ground inspection on the 8th of May. We are more than ready for the new challenge ahead.

ACTION AT PARKWAY

Plenty of names in the frame for the Man of the Match. But the casting vote went in favour for "Paul Edwards"

ACTION AT PARKWAY

Second half "Danny Brooks" was brought down in the box. "Ryan Fice" stepped up and notched his second goal beating the experience of the visiting keeper "Andy Meads"from the spot.

ACTION AT PARKWAY

Next on the score-sheet was "Ryan Fice" who was a constant threat to the "Tavy" defence. He shouted for a short ball from "Johny Morris". His first touch was perfect, and picked his spot to score.

ACTION AT PARKWAY

"Johny Morris" was on hand to score from close in after good work by "Lee Doel" for our second goal.

ACTION AT PARKWAY

Here you see "Martin Sullivan" giving us the lead from a perfect chip into the box by "Danny Brooks"

PARKWAY V TAVISTOCK

Tavistock had their recent run of success brought to an end on their visit to Bolitho Park. They found themselves three goals down in the first half. Although "Parkway" were well below full strength , the visitors found them in no mood to lose any more points at home. On the score-sheet for "Parkway" was "Martin Sullivan, Johny Morris and Ryan Fice "getting his second goal in the second half, all be it from the spot. Guts and determination was shown throughout the team to register the fine win. With "Andy Barnes"in goal bringing off some great saves in the course of the 90mins. "Tavy" did get one back late in the game , which was hotly disputed for off-side . But the goal was allowed to stand.
