ST LUKES BOWL

AS EXPECTED ??
These pair are guiding us through the season quite nicely so far. They decided to rest key players for this fixture, but it all worked out well. A good crowd saw us the dominant side. and 15mins of play saw us take the lead. Just before the break we struck again. But after the tea-break ? we somewhat took our foot off the pedal. But only enough for them to hit the underside of the bar and bounce back into play. But then, an option off the bench saw the third goal register, so it was game over for them. We must be now the talking point in the league !!  Let it continue ??

ST LUKES BOWL

WE TAKE THE LEAD !!
After 15mins of play, it was the trusty left foot of "Luke Rundle" who crossed the ball. Big "Adam Carter" met the ball cleanly with a half-volley, and the low shot found the net with force.

2ND GOAL
This goal was pretty much the same pattern as the first. This time young "Sam Hillson" was the supplier. "Stevie Colwell" was nicely placed to meet the ball first time and break the net with a low shot.

ST LUKES BOWL

OFF THE BENCH !
One option from the bench was "Ryan Richards". It was not long before he made himself known, Sealing the game safe with our third goal. The keeper selected a definite trip in the box. "Ryan" could have gone down, but he chose to go on. He was rewarded with an open goal to score.

YOUNG SUPPORT ON THE NIGHT !!

ST LUKES BOWL

BALL BOYS !  NO
These young lads were down from the "London Area" on a football tournament in "Devon". So they came along to see the game , and I think really enjoyed the evening with us.

THROGMORTON CUP

WE SILENCE THE "LAMBS" YET AGAIN ??
On the night we proved to be far the best side having a full squad to pick from. The powers to be are left now, who to be side-lined having the squad playing so well. Play was fast with the ground being good remembering the elements not at its best. However we soon took charge of the night. 4 goals from "Ryan Richards, Stevie Colwell, Mike Landricombe (both ends) ??  and Willy" from the spot, done the damage. A good all round performance from the team. It was a night with no rain, a pint and a pasty, 2 penalties and 9 goals. I would say that was value for money  ???. I can't honestly believe anyone would want to go anywhere else to watch a game of football  ???   Stay tuned  "lidds"

THROGMORTON CUP

BOTH ENDS FOR "MIKE" ??
In one of the "Lambs" attack on our goal from a free kick, the shot was deflected off "Mike Landricombe", but it registered an own goal. But minutes later at the other end, he surely re-deemed himself when he brilliantly shot on the turn and found the net.

THROGMORTON CUP

"WILLY" FROM THE SPOT !!
After a good run by "Luke Rundle", he was brought down in the box. "Willy" stepped up in the Captains roll, and slotted away the penalty to give us a healthy 4-1 lead.

THROGMORTON CUP

GOAL NO 7 !!
"Stevie Colwell" was on hand in the box to meet a lovely ball fed to him by "Adam Carter". He met the ball first time with a full volley to complete the score-line for the night.

THROGMORTON CUP

MAN OF THE MATCH
It was surely a night to remember for young "Ryan Richards". He was on fire for this game, and was a menace to the visiting defence all the game. At the 90 min whistle he had found the net no less than 4 times. Without question awarded the club trophy.

F.A.CARLSBERG VASE

WE "GATECRASH" THE GILLS ??
A good crowd was in attendance for this long awaited clash between two sides who are going well in their own league territory. However as the game was to unfold , we were the masters !. But the first half was even keel for both sides. A mention for "Ben" who brought off two brilliant saves to rob the visitors of certain goal chances. It was late in the first half, "Gavin Coulton" gave us the lead. Then early after the restart, we went further ahead, when a defensive error saw "Steve Colwell" make them pay the price. This second goal took the pressure off us, and we went eagerly looking to increase the score-line. The powers to be must have been well pleased with the performance of the squad. It surely made my choice for Man of the Match on much debate. After some comments from our loyal supporters, the choice was made. With the "Sunshine", the result, the Guinness !!  it was a brilliant day out for all of us!!  Who do we get in the next round ??   bring em on  !!
   "lidds"

F.A.VASE

WE TAKE THE LEAD !!
It was late in the first half, when yet again central defender "Gavin Coulton" joined in on the attack. He got the first touch on a cross but it was enough to find the net right on the tea break whistle.

F.A.VASE

"COLWELL" EASES THE PRESSURE !!
With the slender lead of the single goal, early in the second half, we saw "Stevie Colwell" given the chance after a defensive error, to round  the straggled keeper, and to give us the 2 goal margin.

WE GO LOOKING FOR THE THIRD GOAL !!

MAN OF THE MATCH
It was sure a hard task after this game, to put a name on the club award. There were so many players that could have justified the award on the day. However, the name that came on top of the vote was "Dann Hart". Next game Tues Oct 22nd at home to "Elmore". They will be unknown quality to us ??

LISKEARD AWAY

LIVELY AT "LUX PARK"
Although now residing low in the league, we had to be alive for this very young side to obtain the result. They moved the ball well , but in front of goal the killer instinct was lacking. We saw the break with a 2 nil lead, but we were well in charge of the game. Our "Willy and Gavin Coulton" were superior at the back. In the "Parkway" goal "Ben" was rarely tested. He did bring off a brilliant save tipping the ball over the bar, which was the closest they came to scoring. Three more goals after the break saw the away fixture well and truly safe. The game was slightly marred late in the game when a "Liskeard" defender was injured and had to be taken to Hospital. I am sure all at "Parkway" wish him a speedy recovery. All thanks to the chosen few who made the trip down to support.

LISKEARD AWAY

"CARTER" GIVES US THE LEAD
After some brilliant play on the left flank by "Luke Rundle". His
cross was met close in by "Adam Carter". It gave the keeper no chance to save. This was on 15mins.
  "lidds"

LISKEARD AWAY

BEST OF THE 5
Out of the 5 goals scored, I would say "Stevie Colwells" was the pick of the bunch. He shot from about 25yds out to find the net. This was to register 2 nil on 22mins of play.
    "lidds"

LISKEARD AWAY

GOAL NO 3
If there is any chance of goals on offer, "Ryan Richards" will be in the queue ?. Early in the second period, he was on the near post to score from a corner. Nothing spectacular, but they all count. He was last seen celebrating in the car park, doing "hand-stands" up against "Wayners" car ??.
 "lidds"

LISKEARD AWAY

"GAVIN" ON TARGET AGAIN"
Yet again our central defender "Gavin Coulton" came up for the corner, and to register his second goal for the club. This was 18mins into the second half to give us 4 nil.  He was last seen in the "Liddles" store in "Liskeard" buying "nappies" !!
   "lidds"

LISKEARD AWAY

GOAL  NO  5 !!
Having a healthy lead of 4 goals, we saw young "Ryan Richards" brought down in the box. It was "Adam Carters" thunderbolt shot that flew through the night sky, and crashed the back of the net ! Well it should have ! After all, it was a penalty ?. He was last seen feeling upset, because he is "cup-tied " for Saturdays game ?
   "lidds"

LISKEARD AWAY

MAN OF THE MATCH
His performance on the night was an asset to the away win for us at "Lux Park". Not forgetting the the goal in the first half, when he struck from 25yds to give us the 2 nil lead. Voted on the night Man of the Match.  Last seen polishing the cup to take home to show "Mother".!!   Next game Sat Oct 19th at home to "Gillingham".

TORPOINT AT HOME

"CARTER" PUT'S THE BOOT IN  !!
It was just ironic that "Adam Carter" who has just returned back to us from the "Millers", should do the damage by way of scoring against his old club. We were well pleased with the crowd attendance, for this long awaited local derby with our friends across the "Tamar". The game was lively with both sides missing chances in the 90 mins of play. We had to contend with the skills of ex-Parkway player by the way of "Danny Brooks". But as it was, he was well catered for by "Mike Landricombe and Gavin Coulton". It was late in the game before we took control. "Paul Heveran" sent across a free kick to find "Carter" on the far post to head home. His second strike, a ball from "Danny Lewis" fed him through, and his low shot was to find the corner of the net. So we go marching on , and giving the pundits !! something to "yap" about.

CHARTER STANDARD IMAGE 1
At the game the "Peninsula League" invited the clubs who are "Charter Standard" to attend the presentation made by a representative from the "F.A.". However, my apology is forthcoming. Being so many people involved, I was hard pressed in getting some details by way of names.

NEWQUAY AWAY

"MAGIC AT MT WISE"
It was not long before we took the sweetness out of the "Peppermints" at "Mt Wise". The tea and sausage rolls at the break, along with the 4 nil lead, the day was looking good !!. "Danny Lewis" gave us the lead followed shortly by "Levi Landricombe". Then a bad defensive error saw "Ryan Richards" go around the keeper for goal no 3. Just before the break "Paul Heveran" sent across a perfect free kick into the box. It saw central defender "Gavin Coulton" with a nice touch past the keeper to register his first goal for the club as a defender. After the break we somewhat sat back on the cushion of the 4 goals. but the game was never at risk. I was pleased to see the options on the bench all being used in the 90mins of play. Late in the game it was "Ryan" who chased a through ball to net his second, and to bring the tally to 5 nil. The image shows "Danny Lewis" finding the net to give us the lead.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Yet again I am hard pressed for the casting vote with many players in the frame. So the vote was the left to the managers. It fell for club skipper "Will Stringer". Next game at home to Torpoint Friday Oct 11th.  See you there !!   "lidds"

CAMELFORD AWAY

TRIUMPHANT AT "TREFREW PARK"
Remembering the result here of last season, with them being a young side and the elements as they were , we had to be at our best. But all was in place. !Willy, Mike and Gavin Coulton", were masters at the back. In the "Parkway" goal was again, young "Dann Law", who handled the ball with safe hands. They did suffer an early blow having a red card in the first half. However, the final scoreline for us at 4 nil was well and truly taken. Just a word for the chosen few who made the hazardous journey down to support the team. It was surely not a night for driving. I trust we all had a safe trip home.

2 FOR "DANNY"
"Danny Lewis" gave us the lead , but not a goal to shout about. The cross was completely missed by "Ryan Richards", and the ball was left among a mellee of players. But the last touch from "Danny" saw the ball just about trickle over the line. However they all count. His second strike from way out on the left flank, outwitted the  keeper, and found the net. I think if the truth was told ! it was meant to be a cross ??.
   "lidds"

CAMELFORD AWAY

2 MORE GOALS !!
Once again it is "Levi Landricombe " finding the target. His first one he connected with a pin-point cross close in with a brilliant diving header. His second strike led from a error by the keeper. "Levi" calmly strolled around him and netted to seal the game.

CAMELFORD AWAY

MAN OF THE MATCH
With the squad playing so well, it is getting difficult to cast the final vote for the club award. Although it is a light hearted thing we do , never the less it is a reward for outstanding play within the 90mins. This time, after time and time again putting in a fine performance, it goes to "Mike Landricombe".

MANAGERS OF THE MONTH ????
After the brilliant start we have made in the season so far, it must be said how well the powers to be at the helm, how well they have done. Namely "Lee and Wayner" have moulded the squad into a formidable team within the league. We must now be the talking point in the clubs. I can hear it now ! who are we playing next ! Parkway ! oh S**T ??  Next game for us is Sat away to Newquay.
