BOXING DAY

BOXING DAY XMAS DRAW
With the festive game called off, we still went ahead and completed the draw. A fair amount of people enjoyed the afternoon. But I would of thought a better intake of players to attend ?. I know it's family time at Xmas , so all thanks to the few players who made the effort."Johnny Coles" from the second squad, his players did more than well in the prizes. The big one went to "Lance Bailey", but everone was well pleased.

BOXING DAY

BOXING DAY !! As you will know already the Saturday fixture against "Falmouth" is OFF ! So now we hope the heavens will grace us with some dry weather for "Boxing Day". However, looking on the bad side and the game is off, we will still go ahead with the Xmas draw. We plan to start about 3pm. So come on down and have a beer, probable maybe a mince tart ?? who knows !! Good prizes ??  But the bonus would be "game on "  See you there.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

IT WAS GOALLESS !!
Bearing in mind we were lucky to play, but the slippery conditions did not do us any favours. Both sides came close to scoring, and it could have gone any way. On the day the result was fair. We found the target twice, but ruled offside. One was highly disputed. So we slip from the top spot dropping the two points. But "Falmouth " away on Sat; and "Boxing Day" against "Elburton", things might change ??. So it leaves me to say "Merry Xmas" and a "Happy New Year", to all who tune in to my webb.  Thanks for that !

CAMELFORD AT HOME

REVENGE AT "BOLITHO PARK"
We were more than eager to avenge the early defeat away to "Camelford". Knowing we had key players missing. However, we took on the challenge well. A small crowd saw play end to end. We took the lead through "Danny Griffiths". He as become one of our best signings of the Season. He broke away and let fly with a left foot blaster, that gave the keeper no chance to save. (image). Soon after the break, we went further ahead after a disasterous mistake by the keeper. Ryan Richards was on hand to score. They did reply with a good goal. But the winning margin for us saw the final whistle. "Heh!! we go top of the League ??

CAMELFORD AT HOME

CLUB TOP MAN ! "Ryan Richards" will not get an easier chance to score and stay top goal scorer at "Parkway". After the keeper "boobed", he was on hand to slip the ball home for our second gaol.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

VISITING KEEPER "Camelford" keeper "Josh Colwill", was more than subject on his goal clearances. He completly messed up on a back pass to give us our second goal. The ball ran kindly to present "Ryan Richards" with an open goal.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

HEAVILY MARKED ! "Sam Cooper" found himself closely shadowed during the 90mins of play. He was the subject to some rough treatment.

"CHARLIE RETURNS "  !! We were lucky with players missing, to call upon a firm favourite at "Parkway" in past Seasons, by the way of "Charlie Pond". He was one of our options from the bench.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

NEW BLOOD ! Having key players missing for the fixture, we have acquired the signing of "Chris Clarke" from "Liskeard". He fitted in well for the first game. Too early yet to register his level of pedigree ?. Next game Wed  Dec 12th, away to "Tavy" in the "St Lukes Cup". See you at "Langsford Park". Never mind the Xmas shopping ??

IVYBRIDGE AWAY

DOUBLE VICTORY !! We have now completed the double in this local derby home and away. But all credit due they fought till the last at "Erme Valley". But we were far too eager for the result. "Danny Griffiths"gave us the lead, and  that saw the half time whistle. Soon after the break "John Heveran" found the net and this goal sealed the result. We played well on the night with more than one player in the frame for the Man of the Match award. They had more than one easy chance to score. Our managerial powers at the club would have been more than upset missing chances on hand they had. However, we scored and they never. Goals win games !!

"RECOVERING "
As you know our top man at "Bolitho Park" has suffered a mild heart attack. But all is well and he is making a great recovery. Home now from Hospital he is in the loving capable hands of his wife "Ellie". I'm sure all the players and staff at the club are saying, get well soon. We wait to hear him say after a quick glance at the sky ! game off Saturday!!

IVYBRIDGE AWAY

"GRIFFS" PUTS US AHEAD !
A player I have greatly admired since he became a "Parkway" squad member. He gave us the lead in the first half. A ball nodded down by "Coops", found "Danny". He adjusted to the pace of the ball and his low shot was perfect to beat the home keeper to find the corner of the net.

ADDED TALENT !! We were lucky enough to call upon the services of ex-Parkway player by the way of "Ben Joyce", for this local derby. He left us to find his way in a higher grade of football. We were happy to have him as one of our options off the bench for this one fixture.

IVYBRIDGE AWAY

"HEVERS" STUMBLING BLOCK !! In this local derby away from home , the home front runners for the "Bridgers" came across a brick wall. "John Heveran" won every ball in the air, and all the 50-50 tackles. To add to their default, he was on hand for our second goal, early in the second half. Brother "Paul" sent across a free kick into the box. He killed the ball dead, turned and shot through a mellee of players and found the net. For his given performance he was my club Man of the Match. Next game to be decided on this weeks fixtures owing to weather conditions ?
