IVYBRIDGE AWAY

3 POINTS AT ERME VALLEY !!
My first image shows "Willy" clearing the early pressure from the "Bridgers". We drew a good crowd to "Erme Valley", on a fine afternoon. But they found "Ivybridge"a very young side. Plenty of running, but skill on the ball was lacking. Chances for them to score were squandered. We registered a three goal victory, but nothing to see again on Match of the Day ?? The first, Arran Hulme was on the bye-line. They all expected the cross. But he managed to squeeze the ball inside the nearest defender and found the net. The second half saw "Doely" clash with the keeper. He won the second ball and scored. The shout for foul on the keeper was not given. The final nail for them was "Ryan Richards" shot was only half saved by the keeper. There was Arran Hulme" on hand to finish. The final result was marred because we lost "Lance Bailey" on a red card. But it was a mad moment that was down to him ! Silly boy !!

FOUL ON THE KEEPER ? NO WAY !!
This was the controversial moment "Doely" jumps with the keeper. They both fell to the ground, but "Lee " was up first and gave us the second goal.

IVYBRIDGE AWAY

GOAL NO 2
After the clash with the keeper, "Doely" got to his feet and pushed the ball over the line. They all shouted for a foul on the keeper. But as my image shows "fair challenge"

TAVY AT HOME

NEWS ON THE MOVE !!

A good crowd saw some good football that was end to end. This was a difficult fixture having the visitors with more than one ex-Parkway players. "Jimbo, Sargie. Sully, and the main obvious threat to us "Hobo". All players of above average pedigree. But we played them well. John Heveran well backed by "Sparky", were both solid in defence. There was not going to be a hat full of goals, with both sides playing well. Our break came in the second period when "Will Stringer"saw his first time shot crash the back of the net. It was a great result for us having all the squad doing their bit. I was hard pressed for the club award for Man of the Match. After some consultation over a pint, "Sparky" got he vote.

TAVY AT HOME

ARRAN HULME
One of our options off the bench in the second half was "Arran". He certainly gave the visiting central defender "Jamie Ahearn" something to think about. He chased a loose ball to the bye-line, the ball was fed into the path of "Willy" who crashed the ball home giving "Meedsie" no hope to save.

TAVY AT HOME

PARKWAY KEEPER "PIPES"
In the slender one nil win over "Tavy", let us not forget the brilliant save by "Pipes" in the first half. A free kick well in the region for one of "Hobos" pile drivers !. But "Martin" dived full length and just touched the ball onto the post for the ball to be cleared away. It was a great save and could have changed the game ?. Next battle now away to "Ivybridge town" Sat 24th . Stay tuned "lidds"

CULLUMPTON AWAY

LATE WINNER AT "SPEEDS MEADOW"
This was close ? but as you can see wrong side of the post. It was a game not played at its best. But that goes for both sides. A small crowd saw scrappy football, and a lot of missed chances to score. We took the lead when "Willy" found the net off a free kick. But they soon levelled after a defensive error. Second half they came at us. All thanks to "Pipes" who brought off some brave saves to keep us level pegs. Options were played off the bench and it might have done the trick. A well placed free kick saw "John Heveran" head home the winner in the 87 min. Not a game to remember, but we travelled home safely I trust with the three points !!

TWO AGAINST ONE FOR "WYATT"

THE HOME KEEPER

The young keeper for "Cullumpton" played well, but we still gave him some anxious moments during the game.

We took the lead when a free kick saw the second ball run into the path of "Willy" (no 6) who made no mistake to put us flagship !!.

PRESSURE FOR "PIPES"
Parkway keeper "Martin Piper" here seen under some heavy pressure. But he still was a problem to beat for the home front runners. Making some crucial saves in the second period, he kept us in the game. Final vote, he was the club award for Man of the Match.

NEW BLOOD!!

One of the options off the bench was "Arran Hulme", slotted in from Plymstock Utd. He did give us a little more bite up front, but early days will prove ??

"HEVERS" GETS THE WINNER !!
Very late in the game (87 min) a free kick was delivered into the box. John Heveran met the ball, his header floated gracefully over the keeper and found the net. He was as shown smothered by his team mates to claim the result. Next game Tues 20th home to "Tavistock". (HOBO returns to Bolitho Park !!) dont miss it ??

BODMIN AT HOME

WELL ! WELL! BEST TEAM LOST ??

That was the general patter from a good crowd that saw the battle against the so called league contenders. But I saw different ?. We matched them in all positions. Grazing the crossbar, hitting the post twice. We had the great "Kev Miller" grasping thin air on more than one occasion. However, penalties have to be converted ?? "Miller" guessed the side to dive and made the save from "Ryan Richards". They took the lead from a slight glancing header by "Carter". But he was no problem to us or "Danny Ohagan". Second half we were far the better side, and got back level. "Jamie Bass" with a great header. Then late in the game a disputed free kick saw "Carter" get the better of the Parkway keeper to head what was to be the winner. It must be said it was a good goal. (but I did not realize he was still on the field ??) Anyway it was a clean game enjoyed by all. Next game Sat 17th Cullumpton away.

FALMOUTH TOWN AT HOME

THE TOWN SENT PACKING !!

With some drastic changes of late in the squad, this was a test today to find our pedigree. Well, we came through with flying colours. The young blood within the line up gave us the will to win. Everyone now fighting to keep his place . A brilliant hat-trick coming from "Ryan Richards" secured the victory. This was a game with a general view from the crowd that we were in for a stuffing !!. How wrong they were. "Will Stringer, Sparky and John Heveran" were a solid wall for the Cornish front runners. "Lee Bevan" was well in charge with his trusty left foot. So there was no easy way through within the 90mins.

MARINES AT HOME

MARINES COME UNDER FIRE !!

We suffered a blow with the result at home against the "Tamarsiders" But on the return of "Doely, Sparksie and Lee Bevan" , all back from injury it was a different story. The visiting Marines were up against it from the whistle. We were well in charge in all positions. On the night a poor crowd, but they saw some great goals. Young "John Wyatt" hit a hat-trick, Ryan Richards found the net twice, and the final tally of 6 came from an own goal. It was good to see a convincing win, remembering the results just of late.
