BUCKLAND ATH SHARED POINTS

"MARK BERRY"
We had to battle to save the point after been twice a goal down. Mark Berry put us back level soon after the break. But then pushing forward, we got caught on the break for their second goal. Off the bench James Lynch saved the day hitting a loose ball from a corner to salvage the point. The club are more than pleased to hear that our top goal scorer to date ,"Mark Berry" has shown great loyalty to "Parkway" in turning down a more than "lucrative"offer from Bodmin Town to stay with the club.
"Mark" top man !!

JAMES LYNCH
In the dying minutes of injury time, a loose ball from a corner off "Brooksie"ran kindly for player coach "super sub Lynchie" . He was brought off the bench, and hit a screamer through a mellee of players to give us level pegs for the game.

CHEERIO 2007
So we come through the Xmas period with only the two points. Well, I feel sure we can bounce back to our winning ways in the new year. But looking on the plus side, to be up there with the top so called teams in the league, that can't be all bad. That just leaves me now to thank you all for tuning in, and from me and "her indoors" wishing you all a happy new year for 2008.

BOXING DAY LOCAL DERBY

ELBURTON VILLA 3 PLYMOUTH PARKWAY 3
The local festive fixture ended up all square on the 90mins. Neither side took control during the game. But having said that, we had to show courage to come back being 2 goals down. "Mark Berry" stepped up twice to do the honours, all be it from the spot. We then took the lead after "Stuart Berry" got the last touch on a goalmouth scramble from close in. But the home side rescued the point with a good header. "Dave Painter" was just too far off his line to reach the ball to save. At the end of the day , it was a fair result.

NEWTON ABBOT SPURS

LAST MINUTE PRESSURE
It was not a good start to our xmas programme. In fact it was shocking !. We were told it would be a "blood and snot" fixture, but we still fell into the trap. It must have been a rare treat for the home crowd (all 15 of them ?) to see the game unfold. The ref dished out yellow cards like "gift vouchers", three straight red cards, aggro on the touch-line, a fat lip,and a missed penalty. Not forgetting the seven goals. They must have thought it was Xmas ??. But joking aside, we were poor, ! not to mention any one player, but it passed right through the team. So we have to bounce back now to form once again. I'm sure we will do it ??

RYAN AND "GOLIATH??"

NEWTON ABBOT SPURS AWAY

So there we have it. Maybe this will be be a shake-up call for us.
There is one consolation after games like this, things can only get better ??.As you know ,we are not used to losing. But let us not forget, it's only a game of football !!. That just leaves me to say ,
Merry Xmas to you all, from me and her indoors.

Namely "Callum Roy Phillip Berry", coming into the world at 7lb 14oz. on the 29th Nov ;Mother and baby are doing fine. All at Parkway wish them well.

THE VISITING KEEPER
So the big game over. We bow out gracefully by the slender goal. I just thought they were a couple of paces in front all through the game. We were glad it was not a stuffing, and with a little bit of luck could have got the equalizer late in the game. Their goal was nothing special. We stopped looking for the off-side, but it was not given. Not forgetting they were lucky to end the first half with a full side. Mark Berry was knocked to the ground in a off the ball incident. With 200 fans calling for the red-card, the "ref" showed no bottle and gave the yellow !! They knew it was their lucky day ?? It was proved when the player concerned, never came out for the second half !! Anyway we all know that's football. But I don't think, they will progress much further in the cup ?? They did have one thing going for them, their keeper was brilliant.

HUNGERFORD F.A.VASE

PLYMOUTH PARKWAY V HUNGERFORD
RE- SCHEDULED NOW FOR SAT 15TH DEC
As you know, we were all rained off this week. So now we are as shown for next Sat all being well. We have a game against Saltash Utd at home Wed 12th, but that will be weather permitting. The forecast is fair, but who knows ?. Make a date for Sat: which will be our biggest venue in the club history. After the game, pop in the club for a quick beer. There will be someone in there you will know ??. In the mean-time scroll down and take a look at the squad that is currently keeping us top of the league. All thanks to the strict training schedule that coach "James Lynch and Mark Gammon" are putting the boys through to get them fit. We are at full strength apart from "Brooksie" who is sitting out a three match suspension. He will leave a big gap for us in mid-field, but we will have to cope some how. Although they are unknown quality, we have had them watched, and the report is good?? As you know, cup-ties are settled on the day.
See ya Sat "Lidds"
