ELMORE AWAY

NEW BLOOD !!
We say welcome at "Bolithio Park" to the new keeper at "Parkway" by the way of "Josh Colwill". He has been hailed in from the Cornish outfit "Camelford". With the coming entry into the Services, "Ben" has stepped aside. So the game at "Horsden Park" was no way a classic. But none the less an away win. But we were not at our best. However, I thought we were the side to break the dead lock. Just before the break we struck with a close in shot from "Andy Neale" that found the net. Second half we were the stronger side. But the game entered the closing stages before we made the game safe. Fresh legs off the bench done the trick. Ist sub "James Washburn" slipped the ball to "Levi" to find the target. Then the 2nd sub off the bench "Sam Cooper" with his first touch on the ball. He latched on to a ball that was only half parried by the home keeper from a shot by "Paul Heveran", to slip the ball over the line.  Three points away from home, and all thanks to the loyal fans that made the journey up country ?? to support the team .

ELMORE AWAY

NEW KEEPER !
Early days yet to give him his level of pedigree ??

ELMORE AWAY

PAUL HEVERAN
Was more than a defender in the squad. He saw a lot of the play and was a asset to the away win.

ELMORE AWAY

MIKE LANDRICOMBE
Once again heads clear !!

DANN HART IN CHALLENGE FOR THE BALL

Sunday 17 August 2014

F.A.CUP

"WE TAKE THE LEAD"
The managers "Wayne & Lee" must have been well pleased with the performance from the squad. Still having no more than 5 key players missing from the line up. So all credit to the players on display for their full commitment on the day. Owing to that other team playing at home ? we had a disappointing crowd. However, they saw us rise above as the under-dogs !!.
"Levi Landricombe" gave us the lead, but on the break they were level with a scruffy goal headed from close in. Play resumed and it was "Jamie Bass" to give us flagship once again. His shot from 25yds found the way through and went in off the post. We were now well in charge and went further ahead with a simple tap in by "Andy Neale" (Rocky). To seal the game beyond any recovery, a lovely ball floated in by "Paul Heveran" found "Ollie Critchlow". His pin-point lobb over the keepers head to register the fourth goal and F.A.cup over for them. This was a result way beyond our prediction ! But thats football, and its on the day !!.

F.A.CUP

"THEY GET LEVEL"
"Ben" managed to make contact with the ball , but it was headed home much to their delight !!

F.A.CUP

"ALL EYES ON THE BALL " ??

F.A.CUP

"JORDON TROTT & MIKE LANDRICOMBE"
Combine well to head the ball clear !

F.A.CUP

"BUCKLANDS" MAIN THREAT !!
They must have read the past scoring record of our "Levi". But he still gave us the lead after 17 mins of play.

F.A.CUP

3RD GOAL from ROCKY !
Young "Andy Neale" who had a spirited game, accepted a short ball from "Levi" to slot away goal no 3.

F.A.CUP

CLUB AWARD
Let it not be said that we are not a family club. The squad played well , but it was a unaninous vote that "Mike Landricombe" was the man of the match. Here he shares the moment with the young element of the "Landricombe household". Next game Wed Aug 20th away to "Elmore".

ST LUKES BOWL

"IT WAS NOT OUR DAY" ??
What can I say, not a lot !. Take it on the chin that the best team won. Not a bad crowd saw us exit the cup in the first round. I thought they were up for the win, having in mind they were playing the best. Also let us remember we are without key players through injury or the holiday period. No bad eggs, but soon we will have the return of "John Heveran and Gavin Coulton". Two main pieces missing from the "jigsaw". Anyway ! we are out of the cup, but our trophy cabinet is full up as it is ???

ST LUKES BOWL

"BRAVE SAVE"
At the feet of "Rocky", the "Witheridge" keeper makes a brave save yet again.

ST LUKES BOWL

"HARD TACKLES"
They tackled hard in defence, but at the end of the 90mins did it pay off ??

ST LUKES BOWL

"NO LUCK"
"Levi Landricombe" tried his best, but that little bit of luck eluded him to find the target.

ST LUKES BOWL

SAFE HANDS BY "WITHERIDGE"
The visiting keeper from North Devon made some fine saves to keep us at bay !.

ST LUKES BOWL

"ANDY NEAL"
Found himself closely marked. Next game at home to "Buckland Ath" in the F.A. Cup. Sat Aug 16th. 3pm

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

HERE WE GO FOR THE NEW SEASON !!
What a great start we have had. A good crowd was to witness some good football. But to be fair, I thought we were in for a more difficult fixture. But let us not forget, they were up against the best in the league ??. I thought they defended well, but in front of goal they were weak. "Jordon Trott" gave us the lead, and "Levi Landricombe" who was on fire, went on to net 4. So the crowd heard our resident "Bugler", who was called upon to blast the victory call around "Bolithio Park" no less than 5 times. !!
The powers to be must have been well pleased with our first result.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

WE TAKE THE LEAD!
The loose ball ran kindly for us. The figure of "Dann Evans" could not stop "Jordon Trott" registering his first league goal for the club.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

"ONE ON ONE"
"Levi" gracefully rounds the out stretched hands of the visiting keeper, to slot home into the empty net for his hat-trick.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

THEIR BEST DEFENDER !!
Here we see "Andy Neale" challenged by ex Parkway player "Dann Evans". We would have carved our way through their defence on more chances . But he was our main stumbling block to get past.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

"GOOD SAVE"
Although the visiting keeper "Dave Painter", was beaten 5 times, he still brought off some fine saves.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

"OFF THE BAR "
At this point we pounded their goal, and had them on the defence for long periods. This great effort cannoned back off the bar.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME

4 GOAL "LEVI"
Easy choice for me this time for the first club award for the season. He opens his account with 4 goals. Here he is with his youngster receiving the trophy. Next game Tues Aug 12th "Witheridge" at home. 7.30pm
                              Stay tuned "lidds"

CHARITY CUP

"WE CLEAN  SWEEP THE TROPHIES "??
"Will Stringer" steps up yet again to receive the "Charity Cup" after our convincing win over "Ivybridge Town". We were two goals up in 5mins. But they got back at us with 3 goals and we saw the break for some strong talking !!. Second half we levelled from"Paul Heveran" low shot. "Willy" slotted away a penalty to give us flagship once again. Then the pedigree of the both sides began to show. Another goal by "Levi", over the keepers head, and from a corner "Jimmy Washburn" headed a beauty to give us the half dozen. So that leaves us winning all that came our way. We must be the team they are talking about now ??. Let us remember too, with the key players not on display. Injured "Rudgie, Gavin Coulton" on holiday "Lance Bailey, Sam Hillson". So all credit to the squad on the day, "brilliant".

CHARITY CUP

"WE TAKE THE LEAD"
"Andy Neale" slots away the first of his two goals within 5 mins of play !!

CHARITY CUP

"PAUL HEVERAN"
Had a good game in our defence. Saw a lot of the ball.

CHARITY CUP

"OPEN GOAL"
A glorious chance fell for "Danny Lewis" when he rounded the keeper. With the goal exposed he chose to feed the ball back into the box.

CHARITY CUP

"TROTTY" WAS STRONG !!
We were somewhat weakened in our back line for the game, so "Jordon, Mike Landricombe and Willy" had to be at their best.

CHARITY CUP

WINNERS "AGAIN" ??

CHARITY CUP

MAN OF THE MATCH
For his commitment to the game, not forgetting his two early goals to give us a brilliant start to the cup-tie. Young "Andy Neale" put his name on the first club award. I will not say this will be his last ?
We start out league fixtures on Sat Aug 9th at home to "St Blazey"
      Stay tuned  "lidds"
