TRURO CITY AT HOME

THE CLUB PENNANT AS ALWAYS!
A little less crowd than was expected, but I think all in attendance were well pleased with the outcome. We were slightly below strength on the night, namely no "Lance Bailey", John Heveran still injured along with "Gavin Coulton". Also "Luke Rundle" gone back to "Priory Park". But no bad eggs, in saying they were a good side all round. It was a good run out for the squad. At the 90 min whistle it was  a 4-0 win for the visitors from "Gods Country" (Cornwall)

SOME BAD NEWS

We have learned now that in the "Weymouth Town" friendly, our central defender "Gavin Coulton" picked up a nasty injury. His clash with the keeper left him with a couple of broken ribs. "Gav" has not had the best of luck lately. He missed all the cup finals, and is now destined to miss the "Charity Cup" as well on Sunday. That will be much to our dismay, as he is more than a prominent member in our defence line up. All we can say thats football!, but get well soon "Gavs".

WE PRESENT THE CLUB PENNANT.
It was surely a fantastic day enjoyed by all. The weather, the crowd and the football was good. The scoreline was not important but we trailed by 3-2. An early goal by them, but we levelled before the break when "Bassie" done well to get the ball and it ran nicely for "Levi" to finish. We then took the lead from a "Danny Lewis" header. They got back level and just on the dying moments got the winner. But like I said, it was not the scoreline that claimed the day.
It was the hospitality after the game. All thanks to "Weymouth" in staying with us to enjoy the "beer, the food and the Westcountry Sunshine. But most of all the "Parkway friendship " !!!!!

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

"COULTON VERSUS YETTON" ??
A close encounter during the game between the visitors "Stuart Yetton", and our "Gavin Coulton". I will say our "Gav" had the best of the day ?.

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

"WILLY" GIVES CHASE !
A good skippers performance coming from "Will Stringer"

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

"DANNY LEWIS" GIVES US FLAGSHIP !
Soon after the break, it was from a corner that "Danny" got a glancing header wide of the keeper to give us the lead.

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

GOOD SIGNING!!
The managers done well by the way  of getting "Jordon Trott" into the squad. He is good in the air, and a strong defender . Also not afraid to advance and look for the scoring chances.

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

"KRACCI" LEVELS FOR THEM !
A firm favourite when he was at "Bolithio Park". "Shane Kracc" was a true character, and a brilliant player, he was destined for greener pastures. Here he is tackled by "Willy and Rudgie".
But his shot was still strong enough to find the net and give them level pegs.

WEYMOUTH AT HOME

MIKE CLOSES IN !

As always a good performance coming from our "Mike Landricombe". Here he is closing down one of the front runners.
Next game is on Tuesday 29th, when we take on "Truro City" at home.

NEW SEASON ! NEW STRIP!
"Scott Jeffrey", of "Energy Savings Solutions" presents Parkway manager "Wayne Hillson and assistant Lee Hobbs" with the new kit for the forthcoming season. So it was a perfect day for the visit to us by the Div 1 outfit. A bumper crowd enjoyed the Sun and the football. I thought we gave a good account of ourselves for the 90 mins. We were two down on the break, but still saw plenty of the ball. Their 3rd goal was a blaster from 30yds. "Ben" never saw it! let alone saving it !!. The day was ended from the spot for the scoreline to read 4 nil. But it was enjoyed by all, no cards shown for both sides. "Gavin Coulton and Mike Landricombe", both had good games. But up front ,"Levi" was marked by his defender who was 6ft 11ins tall ???, so his chances to score were not very prominent ?.
Other than that I guess the powers to be at the club were well pleased with the way the day went.  "Weymouth next"  ??

But for some reason, "Willy" decided to hide our contribution away from sight ? (doughtnut)

A MID-AIR CHALLENGE FROM
"DANNY LEWIS"
THEIR BEST PLAYER !!
For me the best performance in our defence came from "Mike Landricombe". But alas, he was up against their best player on the day. "Mark Marshall" was fast, clever on the ball and could turn any way to cross the ball. Here we see "Mike "yet again trying to challenge him.

All thanks to "Andy Duncan" who was the sponsor for the game.
