PARKWAY PRESENTATION NIGHT

A BRILLIANT NIGHT!!
It was a resounding success for the presentation evening held at the Parkway clubhouse. My image shows us saying farewell to our Manager "Dave Leonard" who is to leave us. But the night was good. It must be said a big thank you to the small band of people who made the night happen. The buffet would have fed five thousand, so a special thanks to "Sue Baggott and Tina Doel" for their dedicated hard work. A special word about "Tinas" curry , it was absolutely delicious. Thanks also to our Chairman "Mark Young" who in the roll of master of ceremonies , he did a great job. The barmen for the night "Gareth Doel and Victor Easterbrook", who also supplied the humour in the images, as you will no doubt see. (brilliant).

BOVEY TRACY HOME

LAST GAME !!
Having a good week with the victory over Tavy, we face Bovey Tracy for the last game. A poor crowd in attendance but still spotted a few well known loyal supporters on the line. The early goal by Lee Doel, and then Lewis Edwards for the second, saw the break with the game well under control. Lewis , then with a chance he could have took himself, selflessly fed the ball for Andy Sargent to finish. He then, to keep the pressure on for top scorer, netted a cheeky free kick. They did reply with an untidy goal. We now look forward to the new season, with some great experience at the helm. But let us remember "Its only a game of football".

E.C.P.L.CUP FINAL

E.C.P.L CUP WINNERS
A given fact that we started this game as slightly underdogs, baring in mind Torpoint are riding high as the league leaders. But as we all know ,our wonderful game of "footy", the result is on the day. We suffered the early goal, but got back level with a well taken header by "Lewis Young". It was short lived minutes later when they scored from the spot , to give them the lead on the break at 2-1. Second half we showed some courage, and levelled again with a low shot again from "Lewis Young". We went then for the winner. It came from the spot after an infringement in the box. It was "Lewis" again to step up and slot away a perfect penalty. This registered his hat-trick and give us for once the lead. Moments later from a pin-point cross, "Simon Parnell", out jumped the defence to head home a great goal. This enabled us now to lift the cup after a great performance for the victory.

HOLSWORTHY AWAY

EASY GOING AT UPCOTT FIELD !!
The game went as expected having the fact that the North Devon side face relegation next season. But they started with great spirit, but it was short lived when after 10 mins we took the lead. Andy Sargent's first touch was spot on. He turned and shot home. Before the break they suffered the dreaded own goal. Second half was one way traffic. Sargent went on to score three more, Chris Wright came off the bench and scored twice. They did reply with must be said, a good goal. So the final whistle saw the score sheet showing 7-1. Can i just say the half-time hospitality shown to our Committee members was top class. They will be in my book, a great loss to the Premier league. We wish them well in the new Season to come.
