BODMIN AT HOME

LUCKY LEAGUE LEADERS ??
It must be said they left "Bolitho Park" with a bonus point. The general patter from the large crowd put us as the better side on the day. Never mind the cry of only 10 men ! thats discipline on their part. First half play was end to end. "Hobbo" sent off so it was game on. The deadlock between the two top teams at this stage was down to us. Second half we took the lead. A low shot from "Ryan Richards" found the net. Our trio of "John Heveran, Willy and Lance Bailey" was more than able to keep their front runners under control. However, in football it happens, they broke away and a simple header put them back in the game. We pounded their goal looking for the winner. But this top of the table clash was to end level pegs. Credit to the squad, it was a good display for the point.

BODMIN AT HOME

"BODMINS DOWNFALL ??"
This might have been the moment it would have turn sour for the League leaders. Their main threat to us "Glynn Hobbs", found the quick pace of our "Jamie Bass", not to his credit. After an off the ball incident right in front of the "Liner", he was shown the dreaded "RED CARD". So that saw him trotting away to be first in the showers !!. I am a great admirer of "Hobbo", but he must change his attitude within his game.

ON TARGET AGAIN !
It was late in the second half before we took the lead. After a good run by "Willy", it was left to "Ryan Richards" to give us the lead we deserved !!

CLOSELY MARKED !!
"Lance Bailey" had a busy 90mins in our defence. Here we see him being closely monitered ??.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Once again club skipper "Will Stringer" comes to the front. For his solid display in our defence, not forgetting the powerful run he made in the second half. It created the opening for "Ryan Richards" to put us flagship. Myself and the general manager placed the claim to him for the club award. Next game Torpoint away Sat.

WITHERIDGE AT HOME

MAN OF THE MATCH
Although in the pipe-line, we hear the buzz that young "Sam Hillson" is to leave us for "greener pastures" so to speak. We wish him well from"Parkway". It was ironic that he should go out on a blaze of glory, when he claimed the Man of the Match award.
"lidds"  (my webb this week is ass about face . I do apologise. Too much wine ??) stay tuned "lidds"

PICK THAT ONE OUT !!
A free kick from 25yds by "Paul Heveran", left the visiting keeper diving in mid -air. This was to register our third goal.

Put in a 90% effort in the game. His running on the ball was a credit to the victory.

RYAN RICHARDS ON FIRE !!
During the 90mins of play, the visiting defence found our top goal scorer too much to handle. He was on target for our first goal with a  low shot in the corner.

WITHERIDGE AT HOME

TOO GOOD FOR WITHERIDGE !!
Having key players still sidelined, we were still too much for the visitors from North Devon. Before the break "Ryan Richards and Lance Bailey" both finding the net. Second half a thunderbolt free kick by young "Paul Heveran" vertually put the game safe. A sloppy back pass to the keeper saw "Lewis Coombes" with a slight touch to score. To end the day, "Sam Cooper"got his head on the corner to give us a tally of 5 clear goals and victory. A bright sunny afternoon, but the crowd was below our normal level. I would think next week it will be different ??    BODMIN AT HOME !!!!

LISKEARD AWAY

LATE WINNERS AT "LUX PARK"
It took untill the second period for us to claim the day. Remembering we were two down after only 8mins of play. But before tea break! we were at level pegs. "Bassie" hit a low shot and soon after big "Sam Cooper" slotted in from an acute angle for the equalizer. Second half after 5mins onslaught from them, we took over. "Paul Heveran, Willy from a corner and Lewis Coombes", all finding the net to gather up the 3points away from home. All credit to the squad for turning the game our way after the more than a shaky start !!

LISKEARD AWAY

"COOMBS" OPENS HIS ACCOUNT !!
New boy on the block "Lewis Coombes" opens his scoring tally with his first goal. A searching corner supplied by "Ryan Richards" saw "Lewis" with the slightess of touches with his head, but enough to register our fifth goal.

"HEVERS" GIVES US THE LEAD !!
Young "Paul Heveran" saw his first effort parried by the keeper. The ball ran kindly for him, with his follow up he had the ball 3
FEET !! from the empty net to score and give us a 3-2 lead.

"PLENTY OF CHANCES"
Although not managing to find the net! "Ryan Richards" was a constant threat at "Lux Park". Chances came his way , but that little bit of luck was not in his favour.

MAN OF THE MATCH
It was not a bad day out for our "Willy". He was skipper for the day, slotted away our fourth goal, and voted without doubt the club Man of the Match. I would say that was pretty good going ??.

TORPOINT AT HOME

WE SHARE THE POINTS !!
Before any ball was kicked, we exercised by the way of respect in the memory of "Vic Easterbrook", who passed away just recently. We thank the "Torpoint" squad in joining us at this time of grief. This local derby was to end level pegs. A small crowd saw the game in bright "SUNSHINE" !! We took the lead , but on the break the "Tamarsiders" were back level. Second half a goal from each side was to be the result. I myself thought it was a fair result. Having a golden opportunity for them to claim the game which was wasted. But then the same fell for us with the keeper making a fine save. It must be said that both keepers played a major roll in the outcome of this local fixture. "Ben Elphlick" for us and the visiting keeper "Sam Borthwick".

"RYAN" GIVES US THE LEAD
It was a bit untidy but they all count. In the first half in this goalmouth scramble, "Ryan " just managed to get the last touch and force the ball over the line.

Man of the Match
Once again our club top scorer finds the target. "Ryan Richards" for his double strike on target is voted for the club trophy. Next game now is the cup venture against "Tavy". Tues 5th Feb. But I must warn you now it is looking more than "shaky" owing to the forcast on the "elements" ahead. Stay tuned "lidds"
