WITHERIDGE AWAY

ONE MINUTE SILENCE

Before the game we were asked to pay respect for a valued member of Witheridge f.C, who recently passed away. "Ken Lenevue" was the gate man at the club and duly helped in the running of the club for the past 10years. He will be sadly missed. However the game itself was a convincing win for us. The team battled away with heart to secure the win. Having been through a difficult period just of late, with so called key players on the move ??. Their absence was not to be noted at "Edge Down Park", not for a moment !! Two goals from "Ryan Richards, two from John Heveran, and "John Wyatt" notched the last goal for the tally of five. A good all round performance from the squad. A quick thanks to the loyal supporters who made the trip up , for what is one of our longest fixtures away. It was a good day out !!

SAFE HANDLING
The first early touch for "Piper"

THIS WAS CLOSE ??

A brave save from "Martin Piper" in the visitors goal, eluded the early lead for Witheridge.

"PIPES DIVES FULL LENGTH TO SAVE"

Although Parkway keeper "Martin Piper", was up to all that came his way, now and again he had to be sharp to respond !!

MIDFIELD BATTLES !!
Although the 5 nil victory sounds convincing, we still had many a battle to win the control of the ball.

RYAN RICHARDS

Returning to us back from "Liskeard", he had an inspiring 90mins. Finding the target twice, he was a whisker away from the club Man of the Match.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Back at last from a lengthy injury, "Will Stringer" came through the 90mins under the heavy conditions with no set-back. He put his name on the club trophy, and not for the first time ??. Next game home to Torpoint Friday 2nd March 7.30pm

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

RED CARD FOR "KRACCI"
In no way do I lay the fault on "Kracci" for the loss of the game. "Shane" gives all he has in a tackle. It was unfortunate this one was miss-timed. A firm favourite of mine in the squad, but while he was having his " soap down" in the early shower, they slotted away the given penalty that was to prove the slender win for them. Next game is "Witheridge" away on Sat. Let us hope for better things ??

WORRYING TIMES AT PARKWAY ??

Just when I was hoping we would bounce back after that fiasco at "Lux Park" on Saturday, It was not to be . A good crowd saw the first half with both sides having their share of the play. But after the break we were the stronger side and went looking for the goal. The visiting keeper ex-Parkway "Tom Buckler" must have had the "fairies on his side. I was behind his goal, and time and time again, we were inches from scoring. Good efforts would luckily hit defenders and run clear. Then late in the game on the odd occasion they attacked, we came unstuck. Running across the front of the goal, a clumsy tackle saw the "Ref" point to the spot. This was the 85 min and game over for us. This was a fixture we should have controlled, but it was not to be !!

LISKEARD AWAY

"MORRISON HILL" EX PARKWAY ??
Well ! Well! What can I say. Not a day to reflect on. Three goals and two red cards, that is not good. Discipline within the squad must be re -addressed now. The goals against us where not great, but alas they all count. Marc Bonney just returned from injury, I thought was harshly dealt for the second yellow. Then "Sam Chitty" tanked in for his second yellow, it was game over. But we did not play to our best, something was missing. The only player for me who gave his best was "Kracci" in midfield. But it takes more than one player to win ??. In my image is "Morrison Hill", who was a firm favourite when he played for Parkway. It was just like it he turned in a great performance against us on the day. We will bounce back, no fear ??

LISKEARD AWAY

NO WAY THROUGH !!
"Hobsie" as always heavily shaddowed, found the "Lux Park" defence hard to penetrate.

LISKEARD AWAY

PARKWAY KEEPER
Martin Piper, was no way at fault for the three goals registered against us on the day.

THE DREADED RED CARD ??

This was the last straw for us , when "Sam Chitty" got the early shower sign. Not having one of his best games, it was the final nail in the coffin for us ??.

THE SECOND GOAL ??
After a series of corners forced upon us in the second half, they found the net with this close in header . But soon after the end of the day was upon us , when on a one on one with the keeper, the third goal was registered.

. PARTING COMPANY ??
As you will know already, we have to lose "Joysie " from the squad. He has the opening to show his skills on a higher level. He is joining "Weymouth Town" who perform in the "Evostik Southern League". A player who will be missed from the squad, but the powers to be at Parkway, will not stand in his way to play at a higher level. Join with me, and all at the club, we wish him well. Next game at home to "Bovey Tracy" on Friday the 17th.
