ST BLAZEY AWAY

NOT A GAME TO REMEMBER ??
Well! Well! What can I say. I honestly thought we would register the third victory over the out fit at "Blaise Park". In football how wrong can you be. What ever went wrong. Two goals down from corners inside 28 mins. We were not playing well at all. Just when myself, Alan and Charlie moved for the half time whistle, we got a goal back. I thought great, we are back in the game. But before we reached the bottom corner flag they scored twice again !!.We went in 4-1 down. The manager gave the squad a severe dressing down during the break. His voice was heard the other side of "Newquay" ??  I still hoped we could recover, but it was not going to be our day. They found the target no less than three more times to inflict the heaviest defeat on record. But the home side were worthy winners on the night. The seven goals were all well taken. We must take this stuffing on the chin ??. Just a word on the hospitality shown to us , it was top class !

CAMELFORD AT HOME

WE DO THE DOUBLE OVER THE "CAMELS"
The result saw us completing the home and away victory. A small crowd owing to that other team playing at home. They pay out there £20 and more to get in. For that they saw 3 goals. Down "Bolithio Park" that would gain you entry. You would see 5 goals, including two penalties, a couple of yellows !, Pasty and chips and a Pint. After the game meet the players, and still go home with some coins in your pocket !. I know where my monies going !!. However back to the football, we had yet again to suffer the early goal against us. A defensive error saw the ball crossed into the box and found the net. But the game fell our way soon after. On the break a handball saw us back level. Second half "Levi" struck and a second penalty by "Willy" gave us the safety margin. 5 mins from time "Levi" supplied a cross for "Rocky" to slip home who was virtually
stood on the goal line. A good all round performance from the squad.                                                             "lidds"

CAMELFORD AT HOME

"PENALTY" ??
Here we see "Rocky" bundled over in the box. It was in the back and the defender no where near the ball. However, not given. I showed the image to the "liner" who was near me. He told me to stick it where no candles will burn ??

CAMELFORD AT HOME

"PAUL HEVERAN"
A strong game in defence coming from "Hevers". He was well in the frame for the club award. "Hevers" you was just pipped at the post on the final vote !

CAMELFORD AT HOME

"LEVI FINDS THE TARGET"
After 8 mins into the second half, "Levi" with a fierce low shot put us in the flagship position.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

"PENALTY "
This was where "Rocky" was flattened in the box. From the expressions of the supporters in the background ! it was a penalty given !.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

THE 3RD GOAL
After "Rocky" was brought down in the box, "Willy" stepped up for his second penalty in the game, and gave the "Camels" keeper "Adam Fuller" no chance to save.

CAMELFORD AT HOME

MAN OF THE MATCH
We cannot keep "Rocky" from hitting the headlines. As voted by the higher element at the club, young "ANDREW Neal" (as instructed by Mother !!) gets the club award. Next game away to "St Blazey" in the league. Wed Oct 29th. stay tuned "lidds"

BOVEY TRACY AWAY

"IT WAS A 10 GOAL THRASHING !!
Here we see "Levi" crossing the ball into the box, which gave us the lead from an own goal. But we were far too good in all departments for the home side , who are currently lying in the basement area of the league. Too many goals goals to go into any such detail, however it was , "Levi 4, Ricky 3, Kracci 1, Dann Hart 1, and one own goal. But credit to them, they still battled to the final whistle in a sporting manner. Once again, all thanks to our loyal fans making the trip (IN THE DARK) to support.

BOVEY TRACY AWAY

"LEVI" ON FIRE ??
Here he tries one of his "piledrivers" !!

BOVEY TRACY AWAY

"BIG JOHN HEVERAN"
Heads the ball back into the danger area!

BOVEY TRACY AWAY

"FREE-KICK"
Already on the score-sheet, "Kracci" eyes up this free-kick just outside the box. Struck well , but over the bar!

BOVEY TRACY AWAY

"He's DONE IT AGAIN !!
When you have a game that is an outstanding result! it is hard to pin-point a player for the Man of the Match title. So I was glad before the game, for the committee members to decide. It turned out to be a hard task, but we have our winner !!. Next game Sat Oct 25th home to "Camelford".

ST BLAZEY AWAY

THE TRAVELLING SUPPORT
The crowd attendance was meagre to our standards. I think we matched them in numbers. However it was a good game to watch. We always somewhat struggle at "Blaise Park" to secure a result. But all was to be in place when we took the lead after 10mins. "Levi" won possession for the chance for "Rocky" to find the net. They levelled with a dubious penalty shout ?. But before the break we went flagship once again . Good work by "Rocky" saw him slip the ball across the box for "Danny Lewis" to fire home. After the restart we played some nice defensive play moving the ball out of the danger areas. We looked for the safety cushion of the third goal. It came from a corner. Amidst a crowd of players the ball crossed the line . But it was registered as an own goal. However, the away win will see us through to the next round. (Holsworthy at home)
So the beer tasted better, and I trust we all had a safe trip home.

ST BLAZEY AWAY

EARLY PRESSURE AT "BLAISE PARK"

ST BLAZEY AWAY

THEY LEVEL FROM THE SPOT !
"Josh", in the "Parkway" goal, brought off some fine saves during the game . But he was beaten from the spot in the 14th minute to give them level pegs.

ST BLAZEY AWAY

HEADING CLEAR !!
Time after time, we had to contend with big "Sam Chitty"in their defence. He was once at "Bolithio Park", and is still a formidable defender.

ST BLAZEY AWAY

"ANDY NEALE"
Here we see "Rocky" about to take on their best defender by the way of ex-Parkway "Dann Evans"

ST BLAZEY AWAY

OPEN GOAL !  NO
This golden chance fell for "Levi" when he had the home keeper "Painter" well beaten. But alas ! with the goal at his mercy he shot wide !!

ST BLAZEY AWAY

"SHANE KRACC"
It must be said , there were more than one name in the frame for the club award. But after some consultation with the powers to be of the club , the Man of the Match was voted. Next game is Wed Oct 22nd away to "Bovey Tracy"
        Stay tuned "lidds"

ST BLAZEY V PARKWAY

Heh, all who tune in to my webb !
Sorry for the delay , but I have been to a "Real ale Festival", at the Prince Maurice Pub. So I am slightly as you would call "ratass". I will enter the report on the game at "Blaise Park" early on Monday.

F.A.VASE

"UP FOR THE CUP" !!
Here we see the ardent supporters who came to cheer us to victory. Having a quick beer before we took to the field. The journey was to be well worth it !. We did not play at our best, but good enough to see us to the next round. We were two goals down and had to show character to overcome. We also had to suffer the fate of "Gavin Coulton" who was ordained to the early shower for a second yellow. On the break thou we got one back through "Bassie". So after some strong words from the management, we had to knuckle down and play. They also was reduced to ten men in the second half..It came right when we levelled by "Rocky". Late in the game we targeted the winner, again by the same player. The goals nothing brilliant , but still goals. So we were not at our best, but still won !!
All in all, it was a  good day out ?

F.A.VASE

EARLY PRESSURE FOR THE "Ks"
When you take on unknown quality in a game, the early goal is very important. But it never came ?

F.A.VASE

"GAV" OFF TO THE SHOWERS !
This was a bad moment for us when our central defender was subject to the second yellow.

F.A.VASE

"JAMIE BASS"
Got us back in the game with his quick pace , when he latched onto a second ball from a free kick. So after his goal, he thought he would  enlighten the crowd to a bit of "Swan Lake"  ????

F.A.VASE

FINGERTIP SAVE !!
In the second half we won a free-kick from about 30yds out. "Shane Kracc" lined himself up for the chance on goal. But the keeper managed to get the slightest of touches to turn the ball past the post . It was a great save.

F.A.VASE

2 GOAL "ROCKY"
But this effort was shot wide !

F.A.VASE

GOALS THAT COUNT !!
Although a player never stood out during the game, its down to the goals that seal the result. On this occasion  it was down to "Andy Neale". Nothing brilliant, but he got us back level pegs, and then late in the game he got the winner. So he takes the Man of the Match award.
               Stay tuned "lidds"

LAUNCESTON AWAY

A SPARSE CROWD AT PENNYGILLIAM !!
This was always a difficult fixture of the past. But that was not the case for this one. We buzzed from the first whistle. Every player performed well to claim the result. "Levi" saw two great shots cannon back off the bar and back into play. But it was not long after, before he cracked the net with a great left foot shot to give us the lead. On the final whistle he completed the hat-trick, along with the single goal from "Andy Neale", to give us the comfort zone of a 4 nil victory. All thanks to the travelling supporters who made the trip on the night.
                                      "lidds"

LAUNCESTON AWAY

"HEVERS and MIKE" UNDER PRESSURE !

LAUNCESTON AWAY

INCHES AWAY !!
"Jamie Bass" fought for every ball as normal. Here, he was unlucky not to make contact to score from this cross.

LAUNCESTON AWAY

"ROCKY"
The home defence found the quickness in pace of "Andy Neale" hard to control. It was no wonder he found the net with a neat header in the second half.

LAUNCESTON AWAY

STRONG GAME
As always our "Mike Landricombe" was a power of strength in our defence.

LAUNCESTON AWAY

NO QUESTION ??
My choice at "Pennygilliam" did not go without question. But "Levi" chased every ball that came his way. He hit the crossbar on two great efforts in the first half. Out of the 4 goals registered, he put his name on 3. I would say that merits club Man of the Match. By the way for all concerned ! "SPECSAVERS" are having a sale next week, get yourself in there ??.
   Stay tuned "lidds"
