BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

WILL STRINGER HEADS AWAY !!
A small crowd came to see the second best in the league for last season "Buckland". We started well with a two goal lead. But then they turned up !!. But to put yourself to the test, you have to play the best. We catered for the likes of the "Bluebird and Mount Gold". But this was different. Anyway it was a good run out. "Pipes" was missing in goal, and John Heveran decided not to risk a slight ankle problem. But it must be said he was sadly missed in the defence. The game was a friendly encounter with no injuries. Apart from "Sam Chitty" (ex-Parkway) had the offer to be first in the showers ??. Say no more !!.

LOOK OUT !!
Marc Bonney, looking good for the squad, about to show his normal strong challenge for the ball.

BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

TRUSTY AS EVER !!
With the squad now beginning to take shape, "Lee Bevan" in our defence is as strong as ever. All left foot !! but good with it ??

BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

"WRIGHTY JUST WIDE"
To add to our misery , second half we had to contend with the danger of ex- Parkway favourite,"Chris Wright". But on this chance he shot wide.

BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

STANDIN KEEPER
With the early back injury to regular keeper "Martin Piper", we were lucky to fall back on the services and vast experience of ex-pro keeper "Gary Penhaligan" to step in.

BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

MARC BERRY STRIKES !!
At this given moment we were playing well. Here we see "Marc Berry" with the visiting keeper straddled to find the net for the second goal.

BUCKLAND FRIENDLY

PAUL  HEVERAN
Not for me to pick on any one player, but we have seen better days from young "Hevers". The left flanker for "Buckland" , skinned him on more than one occasion !! I thought his distribution of the ball was somewhat lacking ??. Anyway, early days yet. We now take on Torpoint away on Tuesday 30th for the next friendly. Dobwalls and Bovey tracy also away. The big one F.A. CUP against Welton Rovers at home is sheduled for Aug 11th at home. We are hoping for a big crowd for that one.

PARKWAY UPDATE

NEW SEASON ?? So here we go again. 2012-2013 Will bring many changes. Players have come and gone. The ground is looking good, but having said that a bloody great tree , for want of a stronger word ? fell onto the fencing over the weekend. It is slowly being cleared up by the powers to be. Training is well under way with some new blood to join us. I cannot name as yet who by name, but they are of some good pedigree I am told. By rumour, a certain ex-player has joined us in training ?? I wonder if he is contemplating to come back with us ??.   That would be (KRACC)ing news if to be true ??

PARKWAY UPDATE

BAD NEWS HITS US ?? It has been confirmed now, that we have lost the services of "Lee Doel".After a lot of chin wag and rumour, it is disclosed he is moving on to "Bodmin Town". I for one will be sorry to see him go. A player who gives you his best in every game. Not only that, off the field a character that every team must have. Let us hope that the grass is not always greener on the other side ??.
