SAD NEWS

SAD NEWS AT "BOLITHO PARK"
It is with much regret that I bring sad news. On Monday at 2.15pm "Vic Easterbrook" passed away. Just of late not being in the best of health. A lot of us will remember him as a larger than life character at "Parkway". He was an above average player for the club, and then became involved as a committee member in the general running activities at the games. I myself and a lot of thers, will remember him with that lovely broad grin. A pint of beer in his hand, and another joke to tell you. Every football team, no matter at what level, have to have people of his calibre within the backroom staff. Our thoughts now are with his family at this time of grief.

LIVERTON HOME

NOT OUR DAY ??
My image shows the finest and best moment for us for the game. It was when we walked out !! After that it went seriously down hill.? A very small crowd saw some poor football from us. We never turned up for this one ? Nothing said against the visitors, they battled for a good away win . Nothing went our way. First we lost "John Heveran" on injury. They then took the lead after slotting away a ball that came  back kindly for them off the post. Next tragedy when "Warren Daw" handled in the box. He had the early shower orders from the "ref", and they scored from the spot for 2- nil. All options were played off the bench, but in pushing forward we left ourselves exposed at the back. "Ben" was left to do his best. But the third goal was the killer blow for us. Not to worry, we will bounce back as always !!

"JOHN HEVERAN"
Our central defender who is a key member in our defence, was stretchered off after 30mins of play. But I can report its not too serious. Two weeks not changing the Babies nappy ! no dishes ! he should be back right as rain again soon !!

WERE YOU THERE ??
No "Argyle", nearly all local games off. What happened to our crowd. All thanks to the band of loyal supporters who braved the elements to attend !.

SLENDER CHANCES
The only open chance for top club scorer "Ryan Richards" to date, fell in the  first half. But his left foot effort was wide of the target.

NEW BLOOD
One of the options from the bench was "Ben Joyce" (Weymouth Town). Also a colleague of his by the way of "Dann Smith". Late in the second half they certainly made a differance. But to no avail for the result. Win some , lose some ??. Before I sign off a special mention for big "Gary Turner", who worked his socks off to get the game on. After, when we were enjoying our beer in the club, he was out there with the tractor repairing the dibits to the ground. Gary Turner  top man !!. Next game Wednesday 23rd Devon cup away to "Tavy". That will be weather permitting !!

LIVERTON

SINGLE GOAL BUT 3 POINTS !!
It was going to be a hard game against the newcomers to the league who are unknown quality to us. The ground was heavy so football was not at its best. However, we knuckled down for the challenge away from home. Both sides had chances to target the goal, but it was us to break the deadlock first. "Ryan Richards" on a full volley done the trick, after 33mins. That was to be the winner for the day. It was a difficult fixture, so the powers to be must have been pleased with the result. A word of thanks to the level of hospitality shown to us , it was top class. Another word of thanks to the band of loyal supporters who made the trip up to give us a cheer !!.

100% FROM "BASSIE"
One of the quickest players in the squad for pace, "Jamie" put in a good performance for the game.

"WARREN VERSUS THE KEEPER"
"Warren" had a busy game. Here we see him clashing with the home keeper.

SAFE HANDS !!
Although "Ben" had not a lot to contend with during the game regarding shots. But all that came his way he handled well. I think on the day, it would have to be something special to beat him.

SINGLE STRIKE FROM "RYAN"
In the first half after 33mins of play, we took the lead. "Paul Heveran" sent across a high ball. It was met first time with a full volley by" Ryan Richards". It did get a slight deflection on route but still found the net what proved to be the decider for the game. Here we see him just robbed at the last moment on a chance to score in the second half.

NO EASY CHANCES !!
"Coops" found himself closely shadowed during the 90mins of play !

MAN OF THE MATCH
Our central defender "Lance Bailey" has a young son by the name of "Fletcher". He is a keen supporter of the club. His Birthday was the following day, so he had the honour of presenting the club Man of the Match trophy. Here we see him lifted high by club skipper "John Heveran" and todays winner "Marc Bonney" (sparky). Next game now the big one ?? Bodmin away !! Sat  Jan 12th .
