YET! YET ! AGAIN.
Yes, yet again the elements have won the day. If it was four foot of snow , I think we could all take that in our stride. But the simple Westcountry rain has done it for the third week running. So we will be very shortly having to play about 3 games in a week. That will be a complete strain on the club squad that will be available to play. So! anybody below the age of 60 ? dont go throwing away your boots yet !! Ha! Ha!. That will leave us now hoping for the weather to change for the better, and see us take on "Exmouth Town" away on the Feb 7th.  Fingers crossed ! see you there.

It has been noted that we drew a bumper crowd for the fixture. So all in attendance was well gifted with the six goals registered. We were somewhat below strength with key players missing by the way of by name "Gavin Coulton" and "Chrissie Wright". Also "Will Stringer" has decided to return to "Tavy" for a slightly lower class of green pastures ??. Been with us for 6 seasons we wish him well. But the game went as predicted !. On the break we were 2 -1 up from goals by "Mike Landricombe and Rocky". They replied from the spot. Second half we were well in charge of the play. Big "John Heveran" bundled one in from a corner, and then "Levi Landricombe", who was destined to find the net, came through to target with two low shots on target to put the game well in our favour. All thanks to the hospitality shown to us from the home side, and the loyal travelling fans who made the journey up to support the team.

We welcome back to the squad, after a long persistent  injury, our central defender "John Heveran" was a welcome sight.He bounced back with a vengeance with a strong performance and his name on the score-sheet. Also more important his name on the "liddsonline", club ,Man of the Match award. Next game now is Sat 31st Jan away across the river to  "Torpoint Ath" . Heh ! see you on the ferry !!

UPDATE

BLOODY WEATHER !!
    Just a few words on the latest at "Bolithio Park". Once again we were subject the the winter elements , regarding the rain. First the game against "Newquay" and then away to "Callington Town". The only bonus is it will give the hard working staff at the club, to put the finishing touches to the Clubhouse. Such as, we have just discovered we have a bad leak which has to be sorted. Also on the squad side, it will give key players such as, "Willy, and big John Heveran", time to get fit again. That will leave us to face the new year with a full commitment regarding players. I think the next few games will reveal the teams, that will be contending for the top places. I do think we will be one of them ! Can I say a big thank you to the loyal support that we have had for the last year 2014.Without you we are nothing !! So, fingers crossed, we take on "Stoke Gabriel" away on Sat Jan 17th in the League.  SEE YOU THERE ??                                       "lidds"
