PARKWAY PRESENTATION NIGHT 1

SEASON 2008-2009

Plymouth Parkway annual end of season presentation night took place at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel. Regarding the recent rumours drafting out of the Parkway en-campment, it had no baring on the success of the night. Vice Chairman of the club and master of ceremonies for the night fell in the more than capable hands of Mark Young. He made a fantastic job in bringing the event together. The team Managers spoke to thank their respective squads for a very successful season. To re-cap, the 3rd team 8th in the league. The 2nd team cup finalist and league winners. The 1st team semi-finalist and runners up in the league. That in my book is a great season.

1st Team Manager "DAVE LEONARD"
Dave was first of the Managers to take to the stage. He addressed the teams for the commitment shown to the club, to enable us to show we are a club to be counted. He also said we are to lose some key players for the new season. But we all know by now, if you are a successful team, that will happen. But I'm sure with him and Mark at the helm, we will still feature. We wish the players who are to depart all the best. But can I say, to get a better life than at Parkway, It's going to be uphill ???

Despite being injured for the last 14 games of the season, Chrissie Wright still came out for top goal scorer in the league, and winner of the Golden Boot. Here seen with Ass Manager Mark Gammon (left) and Manager Dave Leonard.
