"THE BOGEY IS OVER ??"

The stigma that the "Lillywhites" are our bogey side is now finally over. A small crowd saw value for money. 4 goals, a red card, a missed penalty and it never rained during the game. I would say that was good. The play was fast with "Levi Landricombe" giving us the lead. "Danny Lewis" added the second. But the visitors gave us some anxious moments. But in front of goal they were weak in the finish. The third goal coming from "Danny Lewis" was the killer for them. The game ended with a flurry with "Willy" missed a penalty, and "Levi" was hard done by when he was handed a second yellow for a 50 - 50 with the keeper. It was a great result for us . Especially with keeper "Ben" injured. But we had, to keep custody for the day, on loan from "Tiverton Town", young "Dan Law", who never let us down .

In the dying minutes of the game we were awarded a spot kick. But it was not to be. "Turniphead Willy" thought he would go for the blast. It struck the crossbar and the ball was found in somebodys garden ??. But the game was safe anyway !!

Two brilliant goals from him. First half he picked his spot from 20yds. The second late in the game he accepted a cross from "Levi Landricombe". His diving header crashed the back of the net.(Tom Daley would have been proud ??)

"ST BLAZEY" ARE BLASTED !!

 Once again we give our loyal fans something to shout about !. Second time in the week 6 goals to enjoy. On the score sheet was "Levi Landricombe (hat-trick) Sam Hillson, Jamie Bass and Ryan Richards. Best of the bunch fell for  "Levi" who struck low from 25yds. It took a slight deflection, but not to take away the quality of the shot. Once again a brilliant all round performance from the squad. It was good to see (image shown) the return of "Luke Rundle" after his arm injury. You cannot afford to have players of his caliber on the injury list. So we continue to play well, credit to the powers to be in blending the squad together as a unit.

FATHER OF THE WEEK  !!
  After the game we gathered to celebrate a new birth. Our central defender "Gavin Coulton"(seated center) has become a father. His lovely "Karly" presented him with a bouncing boy. Named "Luca Elijah Coulton" he entered the World on the 18th Sept at 3-21pm at 8lbs 7.5ozs. Mother and son are doing fine. I would say at that weight he will make a blooming good central defender ??

LAUNCESTON AT HOME

6 NIL THRASHING !!
A more than small crowd saw us return to league duties. Apart from the poor elements, they were to see some great football on display.  A feast of goals coming from "Ryan Richards

, Levi Landricombe and brother Mike, Danny Lewis and Sam Hillson getting two to make the tally of six. Difficult task now for the Man of the Match club award. However, team coach "Darren Stewert" came to the rescue. For his fine performance and the two goals, one of which was the best for the game, young "Sam" had the casting vote. A brilliant home win by the squad. Next game Sat Sept 21st at home to "St Blazey" in the F.A.Vase.

F.A.CUP AT CLEVEDON

JUST A SINGLE GOAL !!
All thanks to the travelling fans who saw us go out by the slender win for them. I thought we done ourselves proud, and no way were we the underdogs in skill. The two central defenders for both sides played a big part in the game. For them, he was 6 foot 12 inches tall !!. For us "Gavin Coulton" never put a foot wrong all 90mins of play. The decider came late in the first half, when a shot was high up by the near post. "Ben" half parried the shot but it still crept inside the side netting to register. We fought back well and were still in the game. But the front runners for us "Ryan and Levi", luck was not in their favour on the day. But it was a great day out enjoyed by all. Especially when we made a stop off at "Taunton Dean Services". Birthday boy "Ben" got some banter from a rugby side from "Brixham". He was challenged to perform the dance of the "flaming A--holes". (I will leave the details for you ??). However, he came through with flaming colours?? Next game at home to Launceston Tues  17th  7.30pm.

"BRIDPORT BATTERED !!"

   A small crowd in attendance to see the battle against the unknown quality from "Dorset". However they were to see value for their troubles !!. Six goals to be registered and a high spirited game. We missed chances galore, but on 34 mins we found the target. It was "Levi Landricombe" taking on the keeper on a one on one. Then 10 mins later he picked his spot for his second goal. Before the tea time whistle they got one back from the spot, when "Danny Lewis" handled in the box. But second half we were the side to beat. "Gavin Coulton" made one of his searching runs well into their danger area. The ball was fed for "Levi" to complete the hat-trick. At this point they came at us and managed to score to get them back in the game. But then soon after a dead ball kick from "Ben" in the Parkway goal, found "Ryan Richards". He hooked the ball past the advancing keeper to find the net and seal the result. A brilliant display by the squad all round. "Levi Landricombe" had a day to remember in this fixture with unknown quality by the way of "Bridport". He made himself known with a brilliant "hat trick", and put his name on the Man of the Match as well !!. Next game is Sat , F.A. Cup away to "Cleveden" ??.  Stay tuned  "lidds"

REVENGE WAS SWEET !!

Before the start of the game the fans are seen enjoying the Sunshine with a pint and a pasty. They await to see us revert the result remembering the last time we met . Which was not a game to reflect on ! However, on the break we had a comfy lead of 3 goals. "Ryan Richards" started the onslaught, and "Levi Landricombe" added two more. But we were far the better side . Our defence was solid and well backed up on the flanks by "Paul Heveran" and the trusty left foot of "Marc Bonney". They did reply with a sloppy goal headed in from a rare corner for them. But the game was well within our reach, with a further goal coming from "Danny Lewis". You would have thought that the way we played, that we were the side on display, that were two leagues above in status ??. Anyway it turned out to be another good day out for us all !!

They together formed a formidable brick wall for the North Devon front runners. This resulted in "Ben" in the Parkway goal having a quiet afternoon. He read the paper and smoked two fags ??
