WE WERE BRILLIANT !!

I thought, and all around me , we played some great football. We were far the better side from the start. A good result always when you master a team higher in status than yourself. All the squad performed well. I have mentioned just a few players in the game , but overall, it was a team victory. I trust all had a safe journey home.  See you  Tuesday ?

SAFE HANDS !!

During the 90mins of play our keeper "Ben Elphlick" was rarely troubled. He handled with ease all that came his way. The only time he was called upon was the penalty shout late in the second half. But the ball was blasted way over the bar. They found the ball in "Macdonalds " car park in the middle of "Newton Abbot"  ??.

CENTRAL DEFENDER !!

Again a solid performance from our brilliant signing from "Saltash Utd" by the way of "Gavin Coulton". He was tower of strength and a brick wall for the home front runners. He did however "boob" in the second half, which resulted in the penalty decision given. But he was redeemed ! when the penalty was wasted. Lucky "Gav!  !!!

OUR BIG LOSS !!

One of the big losses for us was the return to "Buckland " by "Danny Griffiths". A player  I greatly admired when he was at " Parkway" on the field and also as a person. I thought he was on the night their best player.     "lidds"

ANOTHER BLASTER !!
With the game in our favour with the single goal, our young "Paul Heveran" stepped up to put the game safe. A free kick awarded which was the second best from a penalty shout ! But "Hevers" was on hand from just outside the box. His dead ball low shot beat the keeper hands down to give us 2 nil. All thanks to the squad for the performance shown on the night. It was a great result from all angles. Next friendly now is "Stoke Gabriel" away on Tues July 30th. See you there ?   Stay tuned "lidds"

THE NEW SQUAD
We held a pre-season photo shoot at "Bolitho Park" showing the new strip. But more to the point to display the new signings that have joined us for the season. As we all know, we have lost some key players. But what I have seen so far, we are back on track again. We are going to be a team to be catered for in the 2013 -2014 battles !!..  Change of dates on the friendlies. It is now Thursday July 18th away to Callington and Sat 20th at HOME to Plymstock.

NEW MANAGMENT !!

  We welcome with open arms at the club to "Lee Hobbs". He is to assist our team manager "Wayne Hillson" in the running of the side. "Lee" comes to us with vast and successful running in our local football. He will for sure be an asset to "Parkway". On reflection about the game itself, I thought we did ourselves proud. The new additions to the team played well. Although they are above us in League status, we made them fight all the way. Remembering the loss of "John Heveran" in defence, with the new faces, by way of "Gavin Coulton and Mike Landricombe", I do think that gap has been filled ?? This is going to be an exciting season for us all !!

Regular keeper for us "Ben Elphlick" put in a great performance. He made some brilliant saves . But soon we are to lose him as he hopes to enter the Army. If he does go in, they won't have to bother to cut his hair ??

One of our clever moves for the season was to get the services of "Gavin Coulton" from "Saltash Utd". He has always been a favourite of mine , and I think he will do us proud. Here he is once again heading away any danger.
