AT HOME TO ELBURTON VILLA

WE "BOOB" AT "BOLITHO PARK"
This long awaited fixture between 2nd and 3rd in the league was witnessed by a good crowd. They saw a game with both sides displaying some good football. But it was the second half before the deadlock was broken. "Villa" took the lead with a goal that was nothing special. But then by "jove" (for want of a stronger word) they scored again. Our line of defence going for the off-side but was not given. We were now up against it. Option from the bench saw "Jamie Bass" who found the net with a full volley. It was the best goal for the evening. But alas, too late to change the fate of the result. Questions must be asked now ! Regarding our grand ideas for promotion ?? are we stepping into deep waters ? Will our "Welly boots" be good enough ?. Time will tell !!

FALMOUTH AWAY

ANY ROOM IN THE STAND ??
A good win for us away from home at this time in the season. We came close to scoring, but it was on 33mins before we registered. "Ryan Richards" just outside the box with a low shot. That saw the second half with them level pegs early, when they broke away from a corner. We were the more prominent side at this  stage, and were back in the lead on 55mins. "Hobbo" chipped in a ball for "Chris Clarke " to head home. The game then was made safe with "Ryan Richards" with a solo effort beating his defender and shooting low giving the keeper no chance. A good performance all round from the squad, having to remember points now will tell the story ??

EARLY PRESSURE !!
In the early moments of the first half, the keeper done well to save a shot from "Hobbo", palming it away for a corner.

"HOBBO"
"Glynn" will always be a threat to score in any game. He forced the home keeper to bring off some fine saves to keep him at bay.

THE 3RD GOAL !!
After a good run on the left flank, "Ryan Richards" beat the defenders tackle. His low shot beat the keeper to give him his second goal , and put the game safe with the score-line reading 3-1.

FALMOUTH AWAY

MAN OF THE MATCH !!
"Ryan" was on fire at "Bickland Park", as a reward he was on target twice. His double strike will keep him on track for the top club scorer for the season. Without doubt he was voted for the club award. Next game will be very crucial to both sides ?, as we both contend for the runners up spot in the league. Tues April  23rd at home to "Elburton Villa".

CULLUMPTON AWAY

EASY GOING AT "SPEEDS MEADOW"
From the very first whistle we were in control. They done well to keep us from scoring untill late in the first half. Their young keeper brought off some brave saves to keep us at bay. But then he had to ??. At the other end, "Gary Penhaligan", brought in for the absence of "Ben". It was 30 mins before "Gary" had to perform his first goal kick !!. A goal in the first half and 3 more to follow was enough to claim the result. We matched them in numbers for support, so a big thanks to the loyal fans who travelled up for the game. Also a thank you for the hospitality and friendship shown in the club.

2 MORE GOALS !!
At "Speeds Meadow", he was a major threat for the first goal. It finally came late in the first half. A free kick found him on the far post to slot home.

"SMITHEY" ON TARGET
Always an added bonus for us when "Dan Smith" is in the line-up. He put his name on the 2nd goal after 55mins. He shot from about 30yds, the bounce of the ball beat the keeper to save.

CULLUMPTON AWAY

RIDING HIGH !!
"Ryan Richards" who is currently leading top goal scorer for the club, was on fire at "Speeds Meadow" and raced away on a loose ball to give us a 3 nil lead after 70mins play. This was his second goal in the game.

THE GAME IS SAFE !!
One of our options from the bench was "Sam Cooper", back from injury. After a good run from "Ryan Richards", his pin-point cross found "Coops". All he had to do was to head the ball away from the keeper to register our fourth goal and the end of the game for them. Next game Sat, "Falmouth" away. Charabang ! leaves the ground at 11.30am . Good day out !!

WITHERIDGE AWAY

GREAT RESULT !!
Seeing we were rained off for "Newquay" on Sat, I thought I would get you up to date away to "Witheridge". It was a great result for us always knowing it would not be easy. However, I am told we were the better side and deserved the late victory. At this stage of the season every point will be crutial. After the game was off on Sat, it was planned for a get together in the clubhouse. This proved to be a great success. All thanks to the players who stayed behind and had a few beers. Scroll down for the score-sheet !

WITHERIDGE AWAY

WE TAKE THE LEAD !!
Not a regular name on our score-sheet, but "Lance Bailey" gave us the lead with a great shot from about 30yds out, giving the keeper no chance to save.

"RYAN" GETS US LEVEL !!
After they took the lead for the second time in the game. It was top club scorer to date "Ryan Richards", to get us back level pegs.

LATE WINNER !!
In the dying minutes of the game, "Dan Smith" was on hand to snatch the winner, to give us the maximum points. This will prove to be an important win away from home.

GAME OFF !!

AQUAPLANING AT ""BOLITHO PARK"
After the game was called off we saw two of our players young son's trying to convince the "ref" the game was playable. But to no avail. So snapper "Bailey" and "Brodie Hobbs" are seen just out side the penalty area, reverting to a different kind of sport ??.
Next game away to "Collumpton"  Tues April 16th.

ST AUSTELL AWAY

POOR PLAY AT "POLTAIR PARK" ??
With the added bonus of "Hobbo" linking up with "Coops", I thought we were certain to break the "Poltair net" ??. I was more than wrong. Was it the home slope that beat us. Play was scrappy untill late in the game for the first to goal to register. A ball failed to be cleared by us just outside the box. It was fired home to the top nearside post to give them the lead. Second half they seemed more eager for the result. A further blow for us when a low shot from 25yds evaded the grasping hands of "Ben" and found the net. It was  not going to be our day. We must now forget this result and battle on !!. Let us not forget !      The fat lady is still singing ????

EARLY PRESSURE !
Young "Sam Hillson and Warren Daw" are called upon to do some urgent defending in the first half.
   "lidds"

HANDBALL !! NOT GIVEN
This was more than a strong appeal for handball. But it was waved aside by the MAN IN BLACK ?

ST AUSTELL AWAY

PLAYED WELL !!
It must be said,  the  young home keeper "Jason Keepers" was a major factor in keeping the score line negative. This result was a stumbling block for us to a certain degree. But it's not over yet ?? Next game "Newquay" at home Sat April 13th. See you there !
