TAVY AWAY

10 EACH AT "LANGSFORD PARK"   THAT MEANS PLAYERS ??
We are having custody problems with the prolonged injury to "Martin Piper". So we dragged "Mike Roberts" from the mothball brigade to help out. I always like to feature that player, but I was hard pressed to catch him making a save ?. Thats was how the game was. It is never easy to predict against the "Lambs" at home. However, when they lost their best defender "Menhenick" on a red card. I thought the floodgates would be open. But they still defended well. We then lost "Warren Daw" on a red. It took untill the dying minutes for us to strike. "Marc Berry" (raz) slotted away from close in for the winner. Three points and the beer tasted better. All thanks for the hospitality shown to us, it was top class !!

TAVY AWAY

THE AWAY SUPPORT
It was a lovely afternoon, and we were there in strength !!
   "lidds"

TAVY AWAY

CHEEKY CHAPPIE !!   I called to get the attention of the home keeper "Andy Meeds". The grin sums up the player he is. All credit to the length of time he has served at "Langsford Park".  Brilliant !!

TAVY AWAY

ANOTHER BRAVE SAVE
Again the "Lambs" keeper makes a good save. This time at the feet of "Lance Bailey".

TAVY AWAY

"MEEDSIE" PUNCHES CLEAR !!
This time he tackles with the height of "Warren Daw".
   "lidds"

TAVY AWAY

NOT A MOMENT TO TREASURE !!  This was what we could have done without. Having playing an important role in our mid-field, "Warren" lost his cool in a tackle. His second wack on the player did not go down well with the "ref". He went for the early shower !!

TAVY AWAY

AT LAST WE SCORE !!      Having the best part of the game in the second half. This was the moment we waited for. It was the 87th min, when "Marc Berry" (Raz) got the magic touch to beat "Meedsie" and to claim the result. Next game Friday 5th Oct Newquay away.

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

ANOTHER 3 POINTS FOR "WAYNER"
A small crowd by standards saw us claim 3 more valuable points. The game was level pegs untill options were used from the bench. It done the trick. Guesting for us "Chris Wright". He changed the game with a goal with his first touch, and soon after found the target again with a low shot. But all credit to the "Bovey" keeper "Tom Brooks". He brought off some great saves. But as the game continued, we were the stronger threat. The third goal came when "Ryan Richards" fired in low away from the keeper and to seal the result. Next battle now is Sat 29th away to "Tavy". That will be worth the trip ???

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

WRIGHTY RETURNS    In our line-up we saw "Chrissie Wright" once again on the hallowed turf of "Bolitho Park". He was one of the options from the bench. Brought on during the second half, with his first touch of the ball he changed the face of the game. He met a "Marc Berry" cross to head us into the lead. A mere 8 mins later he was on target again with a low shot by the far post.

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

ON TARGET AGAIN ?  A long ball saw "Ryan Richards" with space. He picked his spot with a low shot for our third goal and to seal the result.

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

OUTSTANDING !! During the 90mins of play central defender "John Heveran" never put a foot wrong. He was a brick wall for the "Bovey" front runners. Along with a strong threat on corners for the visiting defenders.  Without doubt  "Man of the Match".

BOVEY TRACY AT HOME

HAPPY HOUR !! On a lighter moment away from football. Her indoors saw a progamme one day last week on the Tele, about the amount of alcohol that is drunk by O.A.P's. It is a well known fact in my household, that we sit down every night for a glass of wine. This has become "Happy Hour". Her indoors has now informed me only two glasses a night allowed. That's ok, I can go along with that. But there was no mention to me about the size of the glass ???
Heh! keep that smile going ! See you at "Tavy"

LAUNCESTON AWAY

A BIG SHAKE- UP FOR  THE LEAGUE LEADERS !!
This was a brilliant win for us away from home. Being a little behind in the league battles, the points were inportant to us. We knew we were in for a hard game. But being two goals down was not good. Their first goal a glancing header, with the second, i class as scruffy !. We pulled one back on the break with "Ryan Richards" getting the last touch with his head from close in. Second half we were the stronger side. Level pegs came with a free kick. They were all expecting the chip into the box. But young "Hevers" had a different plan. He blasted a beauty and found the net. To end the day on a high ? "Ryan Richards" hit the winner into the top of the net for the winner. (BRILLIANT) All thanks to the keen supporters who made the trip to see the "Clarets" get beat !!

LAUNCESTON AWAY

THIN AIR FOR THE HOME KEEPER ??
Paul Heveran's free kick leaves the keeper diving in vain !! to give us level peg's.

LAUNCESTON AWAY

THIS WAS CLOSE ?
A pin- point corner from "Marc Berry" nearly caught the home keeper off guard. He was forced to tip the ball over the bar for another corner.

LAUNCESTON AWAY

THIS WAS THE MOMENT !!   The ball was fed in by "Coops" to find "Ryan" who hit the ball first time into the top of the net for the winner.

Ryan Richards get's his team mates praise when he snatched the winner late in the game to give us the points.

PAUL HEVERAN
Paul had a solid game in our defence. His free kick from some 40yds out was something special. It brought us back into the game and gave us the inspiration to get the winner. He claimed the club Man of the Match. Next game Tues 25th, at home to Bovey Tracy.   "lidds"

F.A CUP REPLAY

HOMERS HEATH ! IT WAS NOT TO BE ?
We drew a good crowd for this replay. But on the day we were second best. Not to say we played bad, but finding the net never came our way. On the break one nil down, but the "Buckland" outfit came back out much more determined to win in front of the home crowd. They did just that. Two more goals within 10 mins. Then ex-Parkway player "Chris Wright"came off the bench and hit goal no 4. Just before the "Ref" blew time on the onslaught, they registered the final nail for goal no 5. No bad eggs, best team won on the night. A word to the hospitality shown to "Parkway's" powers to be, it was top class.

F.A.CUP REPLAY

A RAY OF HOPE!

A slight ray of hope was when "Ryan Richards" in the second half found the net. His first shot was followed up and the second one found the target. But with the score line showing 3-1, it was a tough task ??

F.A.CUP REPLAY

HE'S BACK !!
The only good thing to report to you on the night is the return of "Glynn Hobbs" to us. But not with his tail between his legs !!

oh ! no. The majority at the club has welcomed his return. So come on "Hobbo", give us some more of your "pile drivers" ??

But serious for me, a player of his calibre we have to have in our squad !! Welcome back "Hobbo"

F.A.CUP VERSUS BUCKLAND

"BUCKLAND ARE BRUISED !!
The crowds brave the mid-day sun for this high profile cup match. Being below in league status, I would say we were the underdogs for this one. But as it was, they left "Bolitho Park" slightly shaken ??. The game was end to end with plenty of action. We took the lead when "Ryan Richards" got the better of the keeper in a 50-50 ball. But then all was chucked away when "Sam Cooper" fed a long ball back to find our defence. It was easily intercepted and crashed home to take away our lead for this costly error. The final whistle saw the result on level pegs. But their goal line must have been blessed. How we never got the winner was no less than the skin of their teeth. So we do it all again on the replay. But in the pipe-line l here ! we might have in our line-up a bigger gun to shoot with ?? nudge ! nudge! say no more ?
"lidds"

F.A.CUP

WE MARK THE DAY
As always in the cup we put our mark on the day. Parkway's captain "Will Stringer" and "Danny Lewis" from "Buckland"
"lidds"

F.A.CUP

BUCKLAND UNDER PRESSURE !
This was first half pressure on the visitors goal. But it must be said their keeper played well to keep us at bay.
"lidds"

F.A.CUP

ONE OF THE DANGERS !!
We had to take in the threat of ex-Parkway player "Chrissie Wright". He was a firm favourite at the club. But I must say our "Willy and John Heveran" managed to keep him below boiling point in the 90mins of play !!.
"lidds"

F.A.CUP

WILL STRINGER
Club captain "Willy" had a busy game in our defence. Here he shrugs off another challenge for the ball.

F.A.CUP

BRILLIANT SAVE !!

This was one of many great saves to keep us in the game by the "Parkway" keeper.

"lidds"

F.A.CUP

BIG SMILES !!
Once again we had to call upon our second team keeper "Ian Evans". For this high profile encounter he done us as always proud. His handling of the ball was good. Not to forget the brave save in the second half at the feet of the "Buckland" front runner. It kept us in the cup-tie !!. So now we do it all again on Tuesday 11th on the replay. Heh! never mind "Emmerdale" see you up there ?.

F.A.VASE CUP

WE ARE"GATECRASHED" OUT OF THE CUP !!
If ever the best team lost, this was the game. No bad eggs, but we stuffed them for football. But to win you have to score. A spawney goal from the second ball off a free kick found the net. Then to add to misery, the dreaded penalty 5mins later. We then had a moutain to climb. Second half we were the only team in the game. But they still managed to get that last tackle in to save the day. Warren Daw gave us a glimmer of hope finding the net with 20mins left to play. But on the day their keeper kept us at bay. So the scoreline saw us exit from the cup. We wish them well on their onslaught for the cup !! but mark my words, it wont be at "Wembley" ??
"lidds"

F.A.VASE CUP

SMALL CROWD!!
With that other team playing at home ?? we suffered a miserable crowd on a brilliant day. But were "YOU" there !!

VISITING KEEPER

It must be said that the keeper from "Dorset" kept us out making some great saves.
