NEWQUAY AWAY

A GOOD RESULT !
After the disappointing result of the week previous, team coach "Dave" and managers "Wayne and Lee", had to bounce the squad back to winnings ways again. They did just that with the convincing win of 5 nil with no reply. Having the fact that the "Peppermints" are not at their best at the moment. However, these our the games that you can come unstuck !!. But on the break we had both "Levi and Rocky" on target, and "Jamie Bass" gave us the safety cushion with the third goal. After tea ! we dominated the style of play. Our defence were solid at the back, so with the game in our control ,all options were played from the bench. Two more goals were to follow from "Levi and Chrissie Wright". With the final whistle at 5 nil, that defiantly made the week-end better than last week ??. All thanks to the chosen few who made the trek down to support the team.

NEWQUAY AWAY

GAME OVER !!
Returning back to the hallowed turf of "Bolitho Park" from "Bodmin Town", I knew it was not long before "Chris Wright " would find the net. He was one of the options from the bench, and  his power shot finds the net to put the result in the bag with the fifth goal !!

NEWQUAY AWAY

2ND GOAL FOR "LEVI"
After controlling the ball well, it was a solo effort to leave the keeper struggling, and slot home his second goal, and the scoreline to read 4 nil.

NEWQUAY AWAY

GOOD SAVE !
Although beaten 5 times during the game , the home keeper brought off some fine saves.

NEWQUAY AWAY

A NEAR MISS FOR THEM !

NEWQUAY AWAY

"JOYSEE BACK" !!
Just of recent we have lost "Danny Lewis" who has returned to "Saltash". But we have the services of "Ben Joyce" who has come back to us from "Weymouth Town". He went looking for greener pastures, but found "Bolitho Park" took some beating ??? We lost a 10p ! but found a "Pound" !!  But !! alas, since I posted this we learn that he has departed again !!

MAN OF THE MATCH
This was a hard decision on the day. With the squad performing so well, it is difficult to pinpoint a said player for the award. After some consultation, two names came forward by way of "Dann Hart and Jamie Bass". It was very close, but "Bassie" got the casting vote. For once he displayed no funny face for the photo. Doing the honours was skipper for the day, our very own film star ! "Gavin Coulton".
Next game at home on Sat Dec 6th to "Bovey Tracy".
                           Stay tuned "lidds"

F.AVASE

"WERE OUT"
We had to share the lesser amount of the 9 goals registered at "Pottherne Park". They were a young side with plenty of eager for the ball. Sometimes thats all it takes. We gave them an easy start with two simple goals. Before the break we got one back from "Rocky". It was not long before we were level, a great low shot from "Levi". But then "Ben" made a goalkeepers nightmare. A well struck free kick was allowed to slip through his grasp. Soon after they managed to target again twice. The scoreline now 5-2 down, it looked over. But we battled on to get the game on. Two more goals for us including a brilliant header from "Gavin Coulton" gave us the inspiration. But time was against us, and the odd goal for them claimed the day.

THE DYING MINUTES FOR US !!
This was the last chance for us to get the equalizer. But the luck was not with us. Apart from the handball shout just outside the box, which the liner did not flag. After some heated discussion it was not given. We told the liner to wave his flag where the sun does not shine very often !!. Then after the game the player involved, this knobhead admitted it was handball ??  "thats football" ??

F.A.VASE

GUARD DOG !!
We had to go to the Verwood Social Club for our pint. There we met the resident guard dog "Jet"on duty. As you can see, me and "Roy" who is a regular "Parkway" supporter, we got to be the best of friends. After the game the hospitality shown to us was top class. All of us were fed and watered !! It was a good day out, apart from the result!! and the umpteen roundabouts on the trip home. Next game now "Newquay" away on Saturday.

SALTASH AT HOME

THE "ASHES" ARE RE-KINDLED AT "BOLITHO PARK"    A good crowd saw this local derby live up to standard. A fine open game with 5 good goals on show. We had a dream start after only 5 mins , but they were soon level. A free kick across the box, which in my book is goal keepers territory ? but a free header found the net. They scored again so it was game on. Then a  loose ball ran kindly for "Willy", some 30yds out, he crashed the back of the net to put us level. But just before the break a simple shot with no power, was to be their winner for the day. We put them on the back foot second half but it was not to be. If I was to pick the Man of the Match it would be for them by way of "Toby Clark", well backed up by "Lee Bevan". Let us not forget the two free kicks by "Levi" that both hit the bar with the keeper well beaten ??.  Lets see if we can bounce back to winning ways on Saturday in the F.A.Vase ????

SALTASH AT HOME

WE TAKE THE LEAD EARLY !!
"Levi" is congratulated after heading us into the lead after only 5 mins of play. But it was short-lived ??.

SALTASH AT HOME

ANDY NEALE
Although heavily marked, he powers his way towards goal.

SALTASH AT HOME

"CLOSING IN"
"Rocky" seen here being challenged by ex-Parkway defender "Lee  Bevan". He turned out to be one of the "Ashes" best defenders on the night.

SALTASH AT HOME

OFF THE BAR !!
In the first half this brilliantly struck free kick by "Levi" to put us again flagship, but alas the ball cannoned back off the bar.

SALTASH AT HOME

FOUL IN THE BOX !  NOT GIVEN
Yet again we must take this defeat on the chin. To me the league is up and down, and until after the Xmas period has passed, we will see who is on course ??. Next game the F.A.Vase away to "Verwood Town". Not far to go ?? see you there ???

FALMOUTH AT HOME

3 POINTS !!
I think the battle of the "Ports" was the reason we had to suffer a poor crowd. However, they saw us get the max points from the game. But it must be said, it was not a classic. The play was somewhat scrappy in places. But we are slightly below par !. Still missing is "Lance Bailey, John Heveran, and hot shot Levi", was on the sidelines on a match ban. So credit to the squad for the win. It was late in the first half before we struck. From a corner "Danny Lewis" got the touch with his head. After the break they had chances to level, but the shooting was off key. The best effort was brilliantly tipped over the bar by"Josh" in the custodial position for a corner. With "Gavin, Willy and Mike Landricombe" well in control at the back we went for the second goal. It was to come from the spot. "Rocky" was brought down, and "Willy" stepped up to claim the result. After the game it was "quiz night" when we formally opened up the new part of the clubhouse. All thanks to the hard work put in by all concerned.      ITS LOOKING GREAT !!!

FALMOUTH AT HOME

SOME EARLY PRESSURE FOR THE FALMOUTH DEFENCE

FALMOUTH AT HOME

WE TAKE THE LEAD !
From a corner it was "Danny Lewis" to get a head on the ball. It looks a little "dubious" from this , but it went in and was given !.

FALMOUTH AT HOME

HANDBALL !!!
Not given, but you can clearly see the shot from "Gavin" hitting the hand of the Falmouth defender.

FALMOUTH AT HOME

"KRACCI"
It was as always an inspiring game from "Shane Kracc". His turns and twists on the ball had the "Town" defence going "giddy" !!.

FALMOUTH AT HOME

2ND GOAL FROM THE SPOT !
Very late in the game young "Rocky" was brought down in the box. It was skipper "Willy" to step up and put the result beyond their grasp.

FALMOUTH AT HOME

THE SMILE SAYS IT ALL !!
After coming back from injury, I knew it would not be long before he takes the vote for Man of the Match. Next game is home to "Saltash Utd" Tues Nov 18th. See you there ??

F.A .VASE VERSUS TUFFLEY ROVERS

HERE WE GO !!
As in the F.A.Vase, we have to take on teams who are unknown quality to us. But that goes the same for them. However, we bounced back from the mid-week disaster, and performed much better. "Rocky" gave us the lead after 38mins. Soon after we struck again after "Danny Lewis" done well and created the chance for "Rocky" to target again. After the break they got a goal back, but I thought the style of play was going our way. The 80th min the game was sealed. "Rocky" again featured giving the opening for "Levi" to finish. Then late in the game from a corner, it was "Danny Lewis" on the far post to head home. It was good to have "Gavin Coulton" back from suspension, so we now look forward to the next round !
     bring e'm on !!

PRESENTATION
As always for cup games, we exchange the club pennants.

F.A.VASE

NOT GIVEN ??
This perfect challenge for the ball by "Mike Landricombe", gave us the lead. But the "Ref", ruled foul on the keeper ??????

F.A.VASE

THE VISITING KEEPER
Had to be on his toes to keep us at bay. But he did bring off some fine saves during the game.

F.A.VASE

THIRD GOAL
To give us the cushion for the result, "Levi",at last found the net.

F.A.VASE

DAVE STADDON
After the stuffing we had to endure down at "Blaise Park" in mid-week, the powers to be at the club, had to get the squad back on track again. This is where the team coach took over. The extra 9 mile run, and the 2 hours on the wall bars, it done the trick ?? Well done "Dave".

F.A.VASE

YET AGAIN! MAN OF THE MATCH
You cannot keep him down. Young "Andrew Neale" notched two goals, and was robbed for his hat-trick, when his brilliant shot cannoned back off the crossbar. Next game is Sat Nov 8th away to "Cullumpton".
                          Stay tuned "lidds"
