ST AUSTELL AT HOME

NEW BLOOD AT "BOLITHO PARK" All apoligies for missing out on this page on my report on the "St Austell" game. I wanted to say a big welcome to the squad to "Danny Griffths". He has now shown us his style of play. Once settled he will be an asset to the squad. Any player we hail from "Buckland" must carry a certain level of pedigree ?.We can do with new players at this stage. The way we are picking up red cards I will be playing myself ??   Heh " dont laugh !!

ST AUSTELL AT HOME

WE DIP YET AGAIN !! The "Lillywhites take us " on the single goal. I thought we had best part of the play. But we failed to commit the final finish to score. A small crowd on the night, were witness to the single goal. A free kick about 25yds out was disputed but given. The low shot evaded the wall, and was left for the keeper to save. I thought it should have been dealt with, but it was not to be. It did not help losing "Willy" on a straight red. Especially after the  incident when young"Sam" got slung to the ground, and they got away with that. However thats football !! Let us dust ourselves down and get back to winning again ??. We can do it !!

THE GATES ARE OPEN !! Some of the loyal support at the club get all ready for the onslaught of the crowd. Here we see "Colin", in the booth. With "Stuart" (in yellow) doing the 50-50.

HE WILL BE SADLY MISSED ?? During the second half we were dealt a cruel blow with the loss of skipper "Will Stringer". He was subject to a tackle using his elbow. The "Ref" dug deep for the dreaded "RED CARD"

THROGMORTON CUP

HERE WE GO AGAIN !! This was a game we thought we could master. A good crowd on the night had their monies worth. No less than 7 goals including 2 from the spot. But all was not well for us. We trailed from the first whistle. A plucky young side from "Cornwall" managed to stay in front all the game. They were helped with two silly goals gave away at the back. not to mention the hand ball in the box. However we got back with a penalty slotted away by "Willy". The ray of hope increased when "Ryan Richards" netted. But time was against us. My way of thinking with 5 mins more of play, we would have found the equalizer. But it was not to be. Next game away to "Camelford" on Tuesday 23rd.   Hey! see you there ??

THROGMORTON CUP

LOYAL SUPPORT Just a small area of family support we have at "Bolitho Park".

THROGMORTON CUP

ADDED STRENGTH We thought we  would add a bit of fire power to the squad by the way of guest players from "Truro City". We welcomed to "Bolitho Park" for the game "Marcus Martin". He certainly showed us a level above our league of play. A player I would like to see wearing a hallowed "Parkway" shirt again. At least, he would be safe for his wages ??

THROGMORTON CUP

TRURO GUEST PLAYER This was the second player in the squad from "Truro" by the way of "Stuart Yetton". But not a game to remember for him. In the first 5 mins of play he turned over on his ankle and went off. This was a big lost to us , not to mention the expence !!. But all at the club wish him a speedy recovery from the injury.

THROGMORTON CUP

WILL STRINGER
Club skipper "Willy" stepped up and put away a great penalty to put us back in the game. Alas ! time was not on our side to save the result !!

THROGMORTON CUP

TOP SCORER TO DATE !! You cannot keep him down !. If there is half a chance to find the net he will do it. He notched his second goal in this cup-tie and to keep his tally on tops. He was my club Man of the Match.

PENZANCE AWAY

QUICKEST FOR THE DAY?? This must have been the quickest goal registered on the day (42 secs) "Marc Berry's" cross found the far corner of the net to give us a great start. I cannot say we played well, far from it. But it was good enough to win on the day. "Warren Daw" then on 20mins scored the second. They replied with an untidy goal from a free kick. Second half we went further ahead, this time a low shot from "Lance Bailey". To end the day "Paul Heveran" fed a ball for "Ryan Richards" to finish. It was a good day all round. Our "Charlie" won the 50-50 (30£) then "Mark Heveran" won the draw (A bottle ofWhiskey) We won the three points. And on the train journey home, the entertainment was supplied in the way of "brake dancing" by the youngest supporter for the day "Snapper Bailey" ??

PENZANCE AWAY

GOAL NO 2 !! With the "Magpies" appealing the ball was over the line. It ran kindly for "Warren Daw" to stab home and to register the second goal for us.

"JOHN HEVERAN" "Hevers" became a dad for the first time on "Oct 3rd". His lovely wife "Kerry" presented him with a bouncing baby girl "Amelia". She entered our World at 7lb 5oz. All is well, so here he celebrates with a bit of "Swan Lake"  ??.  Next game Tuesday 16th, at home to "Cullumpton".

NEWQUAY AWAY

A BRILLIANT WIN AWAY !! A broad smile says it all. We were in for a difficult fixture having rumours that they had guesting players in their line-up. But my spy on the line "Alan", tells me we played well. We were up against ex-"Parkway" mid-field genious by the way of "Brooksie". But on the night all was quite ?. We took the lead from Sam Cooper, second half he scored again. Further goals from "Warren Daw and Ryan Richards" saw the ardent fans journey home in bad weather with all three points in the "boot". They did reply late in the game with the single goal. A point to be remembered ? "Alan Horswill" who is a committee member, also more than a help in the running of our club. He tells me in consecutive order it now totals 703 games watching "Parkway". Not counting cup matches. I myself drink Guinness, and in my book of records that will take some beating.

NEWQUAY AWAY

AN OLD FAVOURITE !!  "BROOKSIE" He was a firm favourite of mine in the time he played for us at "Parkway". A player I was sorry to see leave for pastures greener. However, I am told he was not at his best in the game ??. Next game now is Wed 10th away to St Austell.
