FALMOUTH TOWN HOME

IT COULD HAVE BEEN A
"MASSEY -KER" ??
On our counter attacks in the second half, with a little bit
of luck, our front runners had some open chances just
wide of the target. It would have shown a more healthy
win than the score-line registered. But it has to be said
that I thought Falmouth had the more possession in the
first half. But that's no good , if you dont hit the target.
Also they had to get pass the height of our keeper, Tom Blackler, who was well in
charge of the high balls. We had a gift start in the first 5mins. Lee Doel hooked a
ball back into the box for Andy Sargent to fire home. A fair crowd saw play end to
end. Falmouth pushed up, but left themselves open for the counter attack. That saw
Mark Berry, Doely, Sargie, and Joey Eke all with chances just wide with the keeper
well beaten. But it had to come. Mark Berry crossed a high ball. It found Andy
Sargent on the far post to out jump the defence and head his second goal. The visitors fought back in the dying minutes and replied with a well taken goal. This was a massive win for us and plants us firmly "flagship" in the league. Scroll down now for some action, "Lidds"

CLYST ROVERS AT HOME

"REVENGE WAS SWEET AT BOLITHO PARK ??"
We had some what bad memories with our early visit to "Waterslade Park". So it was said at the time, revenge would be called for. Well we did just that, giving them a thumping to the tune of 4-1. We were well in charge from the first whistle. Lee Doel gave us the lead hitting the second ball home from a corner. On the break we were level, and it must be said it was a well taken goal they scored . But second half we tore them apart. The last 25 mins we must have made them "dizzy". If all the chances were taken it would have an embarrassment. A lot of banter and swearing came from the visiting dug-out, but as the game unfolded, it went down to a "whimper?". Further goals from Ryan fice, Any Sargent, and to finish the day "Doely" got his second hitting a blaster after working well with Ryan Fice. "Doely" had the last laugh, when he put his name without doubt , on the Man of the Match.

"DOELY PUT'S THE BOOT IN ?"
Up at "Waterslade Park", Lee Doel was the unfortunate player involved. He had to bear the brunt of a three match suspension as a result. So on this return game he stamped his revenge with two brilliant goals , and without any doubt "Man of the Match". Seen here with team mate "Jimmy Lynch".
Well done "Doely"

CULLUMPTON AWAY

WE RETURN TO TOP OF THE LEAGUE
After this slender win away to lowly "Cullumpton"
we once again go flagship. But the score-line does not always tell a true story. We were far the prominent side and should have shown a more convincing
score-line. The home side were well aware that they were up against a side from the top floor of the league.
The early goal after 10mins by "Andy Sargent" proved to be the winner.

LISKEARD HOME

"A GLORIOUS DAY FOR ALL"
The normal volume of supporters returned to see this all important game for us to win. Although residing in the lower half of the league, we knew it was not going to be easy. But we matched the weather with the football on display. Taking the lead with "Martin Sullivan" on the far post from a cross by "Ross Coombes". We went further ahead when "Andy Sargent's" cross was turned in for an own goal. Second half we were well in charge, with "Eddie Edwards a stumbling block for them. Also "Parkway" keeper "Tom Blackler"bringing off some great saves. "Mark Berry" then put the game safe when he broke away. He rounded the keeper and registered our third goal. They did reply late in the game, but the all important points was in the bag.

DARTMOUTH TOWN HOME

"SHARED POINTS AT BOLITHO PARK"
This long awaited top of the table clash was only watched by a dismal crowd by our standards. But the game lived up to what was expected. Six goals with play end to end. We were at one stage 3-1 down, but the powers to be changed our options and saved
the day. Our first goal in the first half by Mark berry. A fine strike by the far post. Second half we somewhat fell behind, so "Jimmy Lynch and Ryan fice" came off the bench. It gave us the boost we needed. "Ross Coombes" made a run down the right flank and his cross was met by "Ficee" who was already in flight to tap home. Deep into injury time we had them on the back foot . It was "Coombsie" again on a run. He shot low under the keepers body, by the near post , to give us level pegs . Being a high profile game and the heavy conditions , I think our joint managers "Roger and Gez" were well pleased hearing the final whistle.

ST LUKES CUP V BARNSTAPLE TOWN

"EARLY EXIT FROM THE CUP"
A poor crowd saw us take a bow out of the cup, at the hands of
Western Premier "Barnstaple Town". But we were no way second
best in the way we played. I thought we matched them in all areas
of the game. To go in on the break one nil down, was their piece of luck. Second half we had them pegged on the back-foot for long periods. It was the skin of their teeth that they kept us out. Time and time again they had to clear the ball inches from the line. But just when I thought we had them going, we gave away a silly tackle in the box. From the spot "Tom Blackler" got a touch but not enough to save. 2-0 down it was now going to be "uphill". We battled on , but the run of the ball was unkind to us on the night. Mark my words, they left "Bolitho Park" knowing they had been in a cup-tie ??.
