WITHERIDGE TOWN AT HOME

WITHERIDGE RECORD WRECKED !!

A poor crowd by recent standards saw us take away the visitors win record for the season. Not a brilliant game but nevertheless a win to give us 100% for points so far.

The break saw the crowd with not a lot to shout about. However, "Hobbo" changed all that when he finished a run with a thunderbolt shot . It went right through the keeper and smashed the back of the net. Late in the game, "Shane Kracc" rounded the keeper for an empty goal , and scored our second goal. They came at us and hit the cross-bar twice, before finding the net which it must be said a good goal. All options were played from the bench, including new blood in the way of "Sam Chitty"signed from "Falmouth Town". He was brought on for a short period. To be fair, not long enough to show us any pedigree, which I'm sure he has.

QUIET DAY ??
"Ben Elphick", in the Parkway goal, had little to worry about for the 90mins of play. Whatever came his way he handled with ease.

THIS WAS CLOSE !!
"Hobbo", ran to the bye line and chipped the ball in the box. It was just out of reach for "Chris Wright "to stab home.

BEN JOYCE

Continues to put in some great performances for the club. He was surely a good signing for the squad.

KRACCI DON'T MISS THESE !!

After neatly side-stepping the keeper inside the vicinity of the box, with a smile of glee

on his face,"Kracci" slots away our second goal. This goal was needed for breathing space for the win.

WITHERIDGE HIT BACK ??

This was the moment the ball ran loose for the visitors to register their single goal with a low shot inside the post.

MAN OF THE MATCH!!
Both players in the image were in the frame for the award. "Shane Kracc" on the left, and "Dann Evans". After some consultation over a pint ! "Danny Boy" got the nod.

HOME TO LISKEARD

WE GIVE "LISKEARD" THE "BLUES"
We were too good in all departments for the visitors from Cornwall. A good crowd saw some Sunshine, 3 goals, 2 yellows card, and a straight red !! What more do you want. It was a good result against a lively young side. But we dominated for best part of the 90mins. Ben Joyce gave us the lead, which lasted till the break. Second half a further strike after "Hobbo" neatly touched the ball for "John Heveran" to finish. Hopefully the ham-string injury he picked up is not too serious. The game was then put to rest when "Shane Kracc" registered the third goal with a low shot in the corner.

JOHN HEVERAN CLEARS !

You will have to be strong to beat him to any high ball. Here we see him yet again clearing some danger.

HOME TO LISKEARD

OUR YOUNG DEFENDER "HEVERS"
Paul Heveran, playing alongside brother "John", continues to put in some great performances in our defence.

CHRIS WRIGHT
Fought hard for his chances, but that final ball never came his way.

HOME TO LISKEARD

VISITING KEEPER
The young "Blues" keeper was kept busy during the course of the 90mins. He made some good saves to keep us at bay. Here he picks the ball clean, away from the threat of our "Hobbo".

HOME TO LISKEARD

SHANE KRACC
As always put his heart and soul into his performance. Second half he was put through on the right flank. His low shot found the net for our third goal, and to put the result beyond reproach !!

HOME TO LISKEARD

BEN JOYCE
Had an inspiring game for us. After a back pass to the keeper failed, Ben grabbed the chance and slotted the ball into an empty net to give us the lead. In the clubhouse after , questions to be asked who was our Man of the Match. "Joycee" got the final vote. But all is not well, he never came into the club to receive the cup ! or to spend any money ?? Bad boy ! Next game now Witheridge at home.

SALTASH AWAY

KIMBERLEY STADIUM SILENCED ??
A good crowd in attendance to see the first league game and the local derby. The "Ashes" claimed the first half and saw the break smiling with a 3 goal lead. However the game changed dramatically with a stunning hat-trick coming from "Glynn Hobbs". All three goals were brilliant. Especially the free kick. "Danny Brooks" just touched the ball to "Hobbo" and he let go one of his pile drivers. That saw the scoreline at 3-2. Ben Joyce then found space and brought the Parkway supporters to their feet with the equalizer. It was then down to "Hobbo". With 5 mins to go, he brushed aside the challengers and shot low in the corner for the winner. It was a brilliant result, with only one yellow card shown. (not for us) In the club-house after, I must say "Stuart Dudley" and co; took the 90 min result on the chin. The banter was friendly and as always the hospitality was top class. Not much to show for images of the game, owing to the dreaded rain, for which is my main enemy ?.

HOBBO AND KRACCI WAIT TO POUNCE !!

SALTASH AWAY

WE GET OUR KEEPER BACK ??
After playing away up at Liverpool, it was good to get "Ben Elphick" our regular keeper back in the squad.

SALTASH AWAY

DANN EVANS
Newcomer to the squad "Dann" had a strong game in the second half. He fitted in well alongside "John Heveran" seen in the background.

HAT-TRICK HOBBO !!

The night certainly belonged to Glynn Hobbs. His brilliantly struck 3 goals in the second half gave us the victory. For himself he claimed without any shadow of doubt

the Man of the Match.

CHARITY CUP FINAL

RESPECT AS ALWAYS
Well ! well! not a day to remember. Taking the defeat on the chin, and taking on one of the best sides in the league. But I must say the custodial position in our line-up for the game was to be questioned. However, when we got level by "Hobbo", I thought her we go. How wrong I was to be. The goals for them were easily scored, not forgetting the one registered from 40yds ??. (Ben where art thou?) Danny Brooks found the target for our second goal, but the day was not to be ours. During the game I had the miss-fortune of slipping off my stool. I went ass over "b-----ks" down a steep bank. Lost my glasses in the proceeds. When I told the mob! they rallied a search party and after an inspired search, found for me my specs. This was more than a grateful moment for me so it was drinks all round at the bar. Mark Hevaren found them, so seeing the football was a bit vague on the day, he claimed my "Man of the Match" award . All thanks to our Manager "Gez", driving us to the game in the mini-bus. Let us forget this day now and start our onslaught on the league. Stay tuned "lidds"

CHARITY CUP FINAL

NEW PARKWAY SECRETARY
At last, I can introduce you to our new committee member "Jenny Turner". She is no novice to our wonderfull world of football. We welcome her warmly to the club, and as a bonus, her husband "Gary" is a more a than helpfull person at the ground on matchdays.

THEY TAKE THE LEAD !
From a corner, a stupid error by the keeper left the chance for a simple tap in .

CHARITY CUP FINAL

GLYNN HOBBS
For obvious reasons "Hobbo" was closely shadowed. But when he broke away and shot low for the equalizer, I thought here we go for the onslaught !! How wrong was that ??

CHARITY CUP FINAL

2ND GOAL

This was their second goal, I thought being close, it should have been well catered for by the keeper ??

CHARITY CUP FINAL

LEE BEVAN
Played an inspiring game in our defence. With his natural left foot, cleared the pressure on more than one occasion. Next game now Friday 12th aug Saltash away.
