BOVEY TRACEY AWAY

"THREE POINTS !!
Managers Dave Leonard and Mark Gammon had the squad back to winning ways after the onslaught up at Chertsey last week. But in the first half they had the chances to mark the upset. It took until the 40th min for us to find the target. Matty Cusack heading home from close in. Soon after the break he was on target again . They replied from the spot when Josh Fenwick upset their apple cart in the box. As the game went on we were the stronger side. Further strikes from Andy Sargent (2) and Chris Wright gave us the final tally of 5 goals. A cold day but plenty of sunshine. It was good to see a full turnout from the committee and our loyal supporters. I trust we all had a safe trip home.

"ANDY SARGENT"
Turned his marker brilliantly, and chipped a perfect ball for Matty Cusack to head home to give us the lead.

"OUR NEW SIGNING"
New face to our squad "Lewis Edwards" transfered to us from Truro City. Seen here in full flight. He is beginning to show us the pedigree he has, and will be an asset to the club.

"OUR SECOND GOAL"
Soon after the second half , we went further ahead. Matty Cusack took the ball to the near post and beat ex-Parkway keeper Tom Buckler with a low shot.

"GOALKEEPERS NIGHTMARE"
Parkway keeper "Ben Elphlick" had to face up to the task early in the second half. He picked the wrong way to register their single goal .

"JOSH FENWICK"
Had a strong game in our defence. Here we see him sweeping up a loose ball in the second half.

"MAN OF THE MATCH"
This was an unanimous decision from our supporters of the club. He outstripped his defender time and time again, not forgetting his two strikes on target. Man of the Match "Mat Cusack". Next one now away to Bodmin Wed 3rd Feb. It was a good win at "Bovey", but I feel we will have to step up a gear if we are to get any result at "Priory Park" ??

CHERTSEY F.A.VASE CUP

"THE DAY STARTED O'K ??
There is not a lot to say about this one ?. Less said the better !!. But we had to end up with a 6 nil tonking. I just thought they were more eager for the ball, and had the will to win the tie more than us. But we must remember the team has not played now for some weeks owing to the weather. They took their chances with the through ball down the middle, that caught us out on many occasions. Anyway, on the day the best team won. Can I say a big thankyou for the ardent fans who made the long journey to support the team. It sure was a long day. Never mind, it's only a game of football !!

NEW MAN IN THE HOT-SEAT

NEW CHAIRMAN MARK YOUNG
As you will be aware by now, we have lost the services of our chairman Mark Rowles. Owing to work commitment and family ties, he no longer can submit his valued time to the club. But all at the club will join me and give thanks for his past service to Parkway F.C. However all is not lost. Our current vice chairman namely Mark Young, will step up and fill the hotseat as chairman. Mark, goes back as a player for Parkway, and a player with extra talent. He will be backed up with a another well known face at Bolitho Park, ex Parkway manager Gez Baggott. The experience of Mark and Gez together, we can only go forward as a club. Names also to be mentioned is the support of our Jim Parsons. Not forgetting the brilliant support of our main sponsor Gary Doel. Let the future be kind to us.
