DARTMOUTH TOWN 1 PARKWAY 2

"DOUBLE TOPS" OVER THE DARTS !!
Meaning that we have claimed both games, home and away
after this difficult pre-Xmas fixture at "Longcross".
The crowd saw a game that was a credit to our league.
Both sides playing good football. But in my book, we
were a goal down against the run of play, after 15mins gone. But it must be said it was a great cross that was headed home.Play was end to end, and both keepers had plenty
to do. Then Chris Wright got us back level, and on the
39min marker, we took the lead, again by Chris.
After the break they came at us , but we defended well
and it must go down as a great result for us. Our
team manager Dave Leonard, must have been well pleased
with the performance of the squad on the night.
Incidently, Dave was banned from the dug-out by the "ref" because apparently, his name was not on the team sheet.
(football going crazy). Heads will roll within the club for this one ?? But it did not stop in any way, his controlof the game. Scroll down Man of the match.

DARTMOUTH AWAY

TOP GOAL SCORER
You cannot keep this man down ??. Another two goals for club and league top man Chris Wright. His first strike to get us level after 35mins , from a lovely through ball by Danny Brooks. He beat the keeper with a low shot. The second goal to put us flagship before the break, when he steered the ball in the corner of the net, from a low shot by Lee Doel.

SAMMY MATHEWS
Although only 3'-11'' tall, Sammy was a tower of strength, and a constant menace to the home defence. Not forgetting his blaster from 35yds in the first half, that had the keeper well beaten, but cannoned back into play off the cross-bar.

"KEV ROBINSON"
Alongside his team mate Matty Hawke, they were a formidable wall to break down for the home front runners.

MAN OF THE MATCH
No reflection on the player, but when the whole team give all they got, the final choice i'm glad to say, comes more difficult. However , after some chin-wag in the club we name our man . MAN OF THE MATCH "PAUL BAKER"

PARKWAY 4 HOLSWORTHY 1

EARLY PRESSURE FOR THE "MAGPIES" KEEPER
After the mid-week shock result, manager "Dave Leonard" was only too glad to see us record a win that was expected against lowly Holsworthy. The game was 20mins old before we struck. After good work be Sammy Mathews, the ball in the box was blasted in the roof of the net by Lee Doel. Before the break Paul Baker finished off to score after Wrightys shot was half-saved. We were now in the comfort zone controlling play. A further simple goal from Chris Wright, and then Sammy Mathews who had a great game, fired low past Magpies keeper Chidley to notch the fourth goal. We sat back and let them come at us. So the consolation goal came from the spot. Simon in goal done something, only the man in black saw ?? But now we face a hard one away to Dartmouth on Friday 28th. It will be well worth the journey ???

FALMOUTH TOWN HOME

"SHAKE UP TIME"
Well! Well! What can we say. A game we thought was in our control. But on the night we were not at our best. Having a good run in recent games ,we were there for a shake-up !!. Im sure that our manager"Dave Leonard" laid down some strict rules for the future. The visitors registered three sloppy goals , but never the less they all count. They took the lead, but we responded with a clear cut shot by Chris Wright".
Just before the break, they went ahead again, with another silly goal. Second half we scored early by Chris Wright again to level. A perfect goal by all accounts, but some "turnip" on the line thought different ????. So the game fell away from us when they managed to seal the game with a third goal. Again "sloppy". We are not bad losers , but we were not the worst team on the park. But all credit to ex-Parkway player "Andy Bowker" who had a bad start to the season, but now has got a good squad under his command. So we now have to bounce back, and we will start on Saturday with a home tie against "Holsworthy". SEE YOU THERE !!!

"TOP GOAL SCORER"
Athough coming off second best in this fixture, "Chris Wright" still made his mark on the score-sheet. He put us level in the first half, and the second period , he struck again but his well struck effort was disputed off-side.

IVYBRIDGE TOWN AWAY

"IT WAS A "XMAS" STUFFING?
We had to do a bit of early "Xmas" stuffing at Erme Valley, when we trounced the "Bridgers" to the tune of 6 -0. The 90 minute team talk by the manager Dave Leonard was pride and joy , in the way we registered the win. This now is the double victory over them, home and away. First half no side put their stamp on the game. Until the 40min when Chris Wright gave us the lead. But second half it was a different story. Inside the 20mins mark we were 4-0 up, with two more to come. Sammy Mathews was on target twice, Chris Wright pinched a goal from "Zinny" ??. Lee Doel got one and to make the tally of six, Ross Saint came off the bench and rounded the day off nicely !! It was a good result for us, remembering they carry a lot of ex-Parkway players, and are above us in the league. (or was ?) Scroll down to see some action.

"ZINNY"
Parkway keeper "Simon Zinn"celebrates the great win with team mate Mat Cusack. Also to remember he was nearly on the score-sheet. His long, drop-ball clearance with that trusty left foot of his, bounced over the home keepers head. The ball would have gone in, but "sniffer" Chris Wright made the final touch to make sure.

BONUS DAY AT BOLITHO PARK

"POOR CROWD! POOR FOOTBALL!!
But ! were you there ?. A very dismal attendance by our past standards, but on the day the football was not to our best. After our early lead , the break came with the scores level. Second half we fell further behind . Not playing well at all, the third strike should have seen us dead and buried. But we clawed ourselves back with "Chris Wright" doing his bit. But our equalizer smack on the final whistle was sheer bonus after a disastrous mistake by their keeper. So after a poor game we were lucky for the point. Im afraid on the 90mins, I had to call the Man of the Match "VOID". Scroll down for the score details.

"DANNY BROOKS"
Gave us the lead after 20 mins play. He takes care of the dead-ball chances, and floated this one to the far corner brilliantly.

"WRIGHTY ON TARGET AGAIN"
It was "Chris Wright" who saved the day, at a time we looked dead and buried. He snapped onto a second ball from close in to make it 3-2 with only 15 Min's on the clock remaining. Then the gift from heaven!!when the visiting keeper"Johns"failed to hold the ball. It rolled away from his grasp, and "Chris" had the simple task to walk the ball over the line. We kicked off and the "Ref" blew time. It must be said , it was a bonus point for us in a game we should have lost. "That's football!!"

LAUNCESTON 2 PLYMOUTH PARKWAY 3

"ALL HALLOWEEN POINTS AT PENNYGILLAM"
The chill of the night was some-what mellowed, when we registered a fine win away from home. Never a favourite venue for us, but on the night we were up for it. Not forgetting they have been getting good results recently. We went behind ,but in my book, against the run of play. But it must be said , a good goal. "Sammy" got us back level, and before the break we went "flagship". They came at us as we expected, and got back level again with a sloppy goal. But then in the dying minutes, we got the winner that put paid to any "Halloween" party ??. Scroll down to see the score-sheet. Next game for us, home to "Witheridge" on Saturday. See you there !!

LAUNCESTON 2 PLYMOUTH PARKWAY 3

LAUNCESTON AWAY

"Sammy Mathews"
We found ourselves 1 nil down, after a great header to put the home side in the lead. But "Sam" not being exactly 7 feet tall, was still able to elude the home defence and head us back level from a "Paul Baker " cross after 40mins.
"lidds"

LAUNCESTON AWAY

"Man of the Match Chris Wright"
Once again he puts his name on the award. The first half giving us the lead just before the break. It was a chance set up by "Johnny Haveran", but he was there to finish from close in. But his second goal 5 mins from time was a beauty. He was put through by "Paul Baker", the shot cleared the keeper, and dipped under the cross-bar for a perfect finish, and the winner !!.
