BOXING DAY HANGOVER AT "HAYE ROAD" Although we had our key players on return, it was not going to be our day. No excuses, we did not play well . It was a game on paper we should have won. The first half saw both sides at an even keel. A good crowd saw for the festive fixture not a lot to shout about. We thentook the lead when "Shane Krac" beat the keeper with a good shot just before the break. But that was to be our greatest moment. After the break they got level from a free kick . It has to be said a custodial error ? They went for the kill then and scored again after the second ball ran loose and kindly for them to score. We did level but was controversially ruled no goal for a foul on the keeper. ????. So we dip three points, but I'm sure we will bounce back again !!."LIDDS!

ST LUKES BOWL HOME
WE ARE BOWLED OUT IN THE RAIN BY BIDEFORD "
It honked down with rain from start to finish. For that a small crowd saw a open game in spite of the conditions. Both sides came close to scoring, but both keepers brought off some fine saves. After the break "Ben Joyce" gave us the lead.Just when we looked the better side , they got back level. It was then the dreaded time for penalties was to settle the issue. We had a good start when they missed the first two. But as it was they came back and got the winner. However we put up a good show. It would have been a different story having a full strength squad. It just leaves me to say now, have a great Xmas, I think we all need it !!

ST LUKES BOWL HOME
LOST BALL !!
With the scoreline at the penalty shootout at a crucial stage, Pete Foster was called upon to do his share from the penalty spot. Although he had a solid game within the 90mins of play, he dipped dramatically at this point. His effort to score flew over the bar and into the night sky !!. If anyone was in the Crownhill area at this given time, could we have our ball back please ??. Anyway it's only a game of football. Next game Boxing day away to Elburton with a 11.0am kick off. Stay tuned !

ST BLAZEY AT HOME
Before the game the good news was that "Eddie" is returning to the squad. A firm favourite of mine, and he will be an asset to the squad once again. This will be the 3rd time now we have catered for the outfit coming from "Blaise Park". Home and away in the league, and once in the cup. They are a young squad with plenty of running. But that is not enough to win games. We took the lead after a good move from "Kracci and Lee Doel", with "Andy Harris" left to finish from close in. Then "Paul Heveran" found space on the right flank. His shot from 30yds found the target just under the crossbar after 17mins. With the new dressing rooms and facilities in full use, a good crowd saw the game mould into the way as expected. A further goal from "Shane Krac" was the killer early after the break. It was then "Andy Harris" heading home a great goal for his second and the finished scoreline 4 nil.

ST BLAZEY AT HOME
It was a welcome sight to see "Shane Krac" back from his one match suspension. He put the buzz back in our mid-field. Not to forget his cheeky lob over the keepers head early in the second half, to give us the 3 nil lead. His name went on the club award for the game. Next match Saturday Falmouth away (weather permitting ??)
