SAME OLD FACES !!
We had to rely on our loyal supporters for the fixture, so we were well below our normal crowd. They saw a game of two halves. First half it was the outfit from the "South Hams" that was in charge. We saw the break a goal down, but on their chances
it should have been more !!. However, second half it was all change. The equalizer had to come for the pressure put on the visitors goal. Ben Joyce was on the score-sheet when he shot low with a slight deflection to rescue the point. They then had to defend to the bitter end with us pounding them for the winner. But alas ! the 90 min whistle said it was to be shared points.

THROGMORTON CUP
But I thought we gave a more than good account of ourselves in this slender win for "Bodmin" at Priory Park. They took the lead when a shot took a heavy deflection away from the reach of the keeper. But we held the game together. Second half we were far the better side. Fully deserved, the equalizer came. A short corner was chipped in by "Sam Chitty". It found "Shane Krac" lurking in the box. His header found the net with much jubilation from the squad. Just as we went looking for the winner, we were dealt a cruel blow by the way of a red card. We lost the services of "Dennis Mason". This somewhat upset our style of play. But we battled on with 10 men. In the dying moments of the tie, a low shot through a melee of players found the net and the winner for them. It was a good game and we wish them well in the next round. Just a short mention for the hospitality shown to "Parkways" powers to be at half time, it was top class !! (lovely sanies !)

ROYAL MARINES AWAY
ANY ROOM IN THE STAND ??
We easily matched by number the home support for this away fixture. A big thank you for the dedicated fans that made the trip up to support. So a meagre crowd saw football at times a bit untidy. But that was both sides. They gave us an early scare hitting the bar. Then "Paul Haveran" fouled in the box. But a sigh of relief was more than prominent from the home support, when "Martin Piper" dived full length to save. Then it was our turn from the spot after a foul in the box. "Hobbo " stepped up and made no mistake. He blasted the back of the net. That was to be the dividing factor for the result. But I must say we were slightly better running with the slope in the second half. Remembering we hit the woodwork three times. One a 30 yard blaster from "Hobbo" that cannoned back off the bar and back into play. So the penalty was to be the decider of the game. With all three points in the boot, I trust all had a safe trip home.
