NEWQUAY AT HOME

WE RETURN TO WINNING WAYS ?
Here we see us trotting out for the first game at home for 2014. With the elements not good, we must give thanks to big "Gary Turner" and all his helpers who worked more than hard to make the game possible. After the upset earlier at "Godolphin", we had to get back to normal. Well! we did just that. It was not long before we found the target. Seeing the break with the score at 2-1. But after it was one way traffic. "Ryan Richards" and "Levi" chased every ball and caused the "Newquay" defenders to kick the ball anywhere to defend. However we found the target no less than six times. Nothing spectacular, but goals none the less.

"DANNY GAZE"
Signed over to us from "Buckland", he has fitted in the squad more than we could hope for. A sweet left foot and eager to join the front runners to find the net.

NEW BLOOD !!
"Danny ", is always looking for the chance to join the attacks on the goal. Here we see him about to fire, but sadly this time it sailed over the bar.   "lidds"

"LEVI" WAS ON FIRE ??
During the game the visitors from "Mt Wise", had no answer to the pace of "Levi Landricombe". He was involved in all the attacks and found the net for himself no less than twice. He was a whisker away from the club man of the match award ?.    "lidds"

"BAILEY" DEFENDS !
"Lance Bailey" clever on the ball , had a solid game in our defence.

OWN GOAL !!
"Danny Gaze" floated across a free kick into the box. The defenders header beat the keeper and crossed the line for our third goal. "Gavin Coulton" was on the line just to make sure ??

MAN OF THE MATCH
When you have a convincing victory such as this, it is a hard task to name a player for the club award. However, after some thought we have to decide. For his contribution to the game, not forgetting the two goals, "Ryan Richards" got the final vote. Next game now away to "Torpoint" on Friday Jan 31st at the "Mill". Stay tuned "lidds"

GODOLPHIN AWAY

WAS THIS OUR FINEST MOMENT ??
After I shot my first image, the level of play somewhat went down hill. On the day we did not play well at all. They were a young side and were more eager for the ball and the result. The early goal for them did not help. But a free header from a corner must be noted. Second half we were a little more organised, but they defended well and protected the slender one goal lead. This was to be the score line at the final whistle. Never mind , I am sure the powers to be at the club, will soon render us back to winning ways again. Thanks to the loyal fans who made the trip down to show support. I trust we all journeyed home safely.

GODOLPHIN AWAY

OVER THE BAR ??
Our free kick specialist young "Paul Heveran", put this effort way over the bar in the first half.  "lidds"

GODOLPHIN AWAY

DANNY LEWIS
I would say our "Danny" was at this moment somewhat heavily marked ??   "lidds"

GODOLPHIN AWAY

STEVIE COLWELL
Tries to get control of the ball looking for that little bit of luck to come our way to get the shot on goal ?   "lidds"

GODOLPHIN AWAY

THE HOME KEEPER
This was an unorthodox save by the young "Godolphin" keeper. But, he did bring off some fine saves during the game.   "lidds"

GOLDOLPHIN AWAY

HOW MANY IN DEFENCE ??
Late in the second half we created a series of corners looking for the equalizer. As you can see they packed their goal to keep us out !!   "lidds"

GOLDOLPHIN AWAY

GAVIN TO THE RESCUE !!
Once again central defender "Gavin Coulton", (5) clears the danger from the home attack late in the game. Next game is at home to "Bovey Tracy", Sat Jan 18th. Heh! let us get back to winning again ??   Stay tuned "lidds"
