BODMIN AT HOME

BUMPER CROWD !!
We had a good turnout of fans, come to see the two best teams in the league. They were not disappointed !. Two penalties, one RED card and four goals. Yet again this outfit from "Cornwall" managed to salvage a point by the skin of their teeth ! We took the lead all be it from the spot. But before the break we scored again with a cracker from 30yds by "Shane Kracc". After the break they came at us and got one back also from the spot. I would say we were the better side throughout the game. But it was ironic that ex-Parkway player "Adam Carter", who was bottled out of the game and gave us no bother. It was to him, who the chance fell for in the 80min to get the equalizer. But I will say, the goal was well taken. So this difficult fixture for us we must look on the bright side ! We did not win ! but we did not lose either ??

BODMIN AT HOME

"SHANE KRACC"
Had a more than an impressive game. He put away our second goal from 30yds giving the keeper non chance to save. If the win was on the cards, he was flagship for man of the match.

BODMIN AT HOME

"PENALTY"
Early in the first half "Ryan Richards" lays polaxed in the box. From the spot we took the lead with  "Jordon Trott" doing the honours.

BODMIN AT HOME

"RYAN'S SHADOW !!
As soon as our "Ryan" got near the ball he was closely marked by a defender.

BODMIN AT HOME

"JORDON TROTT"
Yet again swings the ball in with that trusty left foot. With "Willy" on the bench, he was called upon to convert the penalty. The "Bodmin" keeper "Kev Miller" never even saw it , let alone try to save it ??

BODMIN AT HOME

"JAMIE BASS"
Gets control of the ball.

BODMIN AT HOME

LATE IN THE GAME !
In the dying minutes of the game, it was "Ryan Richards" still looking for that opening to get the winner we deserved ??. Well, we did not win, but we did not lose !!. Next game is Tues Sept 30th away to "Launceston". Not far to travel, see you there.
                                                Stay tuned "lidds"

WITHERIDGE HOME

POOR CROWD !
It was a disappointing crowd by normal standards to see us bounce back to winning ways. But a shaky start when we saw "Josh" completely miss judge the flight of the ball to give them the lead. It took us until the second half to recover. A great shot from "Andy Neal" from 40yds out, put us back level. Soon after he was on target again to give us the lead with a fine header in the corner of the net. We were now well in charge of the game. It now was "Jamie Bass" turn to do well in a tackle and score the third. He, as well went for his second, with a great shot when he cut in from the bye-line and left the keeper well beaten. It was a good all round performance from the squad. Revenge was taken remembering the "Withys" knocked us out of the cup previous !!
                                                                                             "lidds"

WITHERIDGE HOME

JUST MISSED ??
From a corner, "Gavin" just misses making contact !!

WITHERIDGE HOME

"GAVIN COULTON"
Captain for the day, "Gavs" gets the attack going !!

WITHERIDGE HOME

"JAMIE BASS"
Had a great game hitting the target for two goals.

WITHERIDGE HOME

"JAMIE" FINDS THE NET
He done well to win the tackle and see his shot find the net.

WITHERIDGE HOME

RESULT SEALED !!
The look of joy on skipper for the day "Gavin Coulton" face as they congratulate "Bassie" hitting the fourth goal.

IVYBRIDGE HOME

SAFE HANDLING ?
LEVEL PEGS ??
This much awaited fixture was to prove goal-less. But the good crowd in attendance, came the general patter that it was a fair result. I will not say the football was at its best, but that went for both sides. Chances were there, but for us the final touch was missing. We knew we in for a battle, knowing the visitors have had a good start in the league. Second half, with the game stalemate, options were played from the bench. But it was not to be. One bit of good news was to see "John Heveran" once again for a brief spell after his injury don a "Parkway Shirt". Things can only get better ??
                 "lidds"

IVYBRIDGE HOME

BEST DEFENDER !
Here we see "Levi" being heavily marked. But the player behind him (no 5) was the main stumbling block for us right through the game.

IVYBRIDGE HOME

"Kracci" tries a shot, but it had no power.

IVYBRIDGE HOME

THEY WERE LUCKY ?
From a corner in the first half , they were lucky to keep this out !!

IVYBRIDGE HOME

WE FORCE A CORNER !
We forced a series of corners but to no avail ?. But look how many of them back in defence ??.

IVYBRIDGE HOME

AN OLD ENEMY !!
"Kracci" was closely shadowed by an old favourite in the past at "Parkway", by the way of "Mark Berry".

IVYBRIDGE HOME

BRAVE SAVE !!
Late in the game "Andy Neale" (Rocky) forced the "Ivy" keeper off his line to save. So we had to settle for level pegs on the 90mins of play. Next game is Tues 23rd at home to "Witheridge". See you there !     Stay tuned "lidds"

GODOLPHIN HOME

HE WAS OUR DOWNFALL ??
The visiting keeper "Shaun Semmens" decided to come to "Bolithio Park" and play a blinder !! He did just that ?. He was our stumbling block right through the 90mins. They had a gift start after 2 mins of play when "Gavin Coulton" clearance, it struck one of their players and rebounded into the net. I would guess we had best of the play but the goal  was well protected by their defence and that "bloke" in goal. Then the second blow, saw the second ball from a corner. It was crossed and headed in from close in. So after the break 2 goals down we had to knuckle down. I would say we had 75% of the play. But it saw their keeper bring off some fine saves to keep us at bay. Frustration set in and we picked up no less than 4 yellows. This was a game I thought was well in our grasp to win. But on the day it does not always go plan. Never mind , we will bounce back !!
                                           "lidds"

GODOLPHIN HOME

OFF THE BAR ??
Here we see late in the game, "Levi Landricombe" about to full volley his shot. A rare occasion with the keeper well beaten. But the ball just skimmed the cross-bar. It was the closest we came to scoring.
WORKED HARD !!
"Jamie Bass" battled well during the game , with his tackles to win the ball. But for all his efforts, he was on the losing side ?

GODOLPHIN HOME

THE LOOK OF DESPAIR !!
It says it all on the face of "Gavin Coulton", when yet again we miss the target.

GODOLPHIN HOME

THIS WAS CLOSE ?
Yet again the visiting keeper blocks out another scoring chance.

GODOLPHIN HOME

HE'S BACK !!
It was sure good to see "Gavin Coulton" back playing again after his serious injury. Here he is powering his way in our defence.

GODOLPHIN HOME

NOT OUR DAY ??
A bad moment for us to sum up the day. Frustration was shown to the limit, when our assistant manager "Lee Hobbs" was ordered out  from the dug-out. Not to worry, its early days yet !. Next game away to "Camelford" Tues Sept 16th.
                 Stay tuned "lidds"

F.A.VASE

THE CLUB PENNANT
As always for cup games we present the club pennant before the game. But it was a meagre crowd that saw us bounce back to winning ways. We trotted out to be fair as the underdogs !!. But that was not to be. "Mike Landricombe and "Gavin Coulton" back on the field made all the difference. It took us nearly on the break before we found the target. "Willy" chipped the ball back from the bye-line to "Mike " to force the ball in. After the restart we doubled the score-line early, when "Rocky" opened the chance for "Kracci" to fire home. Then "Kracci" done the same for "Rocky" to put the game well in our favour. But they came back at us with two goals to give them the chance for recovery. But we then found the killer blow when "Ryan Richards" latched onto a through ball very late in the game. He picked his spot with a low shot to see us through to the next round. The powers to be must have been well pleased with the result on the day.

F.A.VASE

,
BACK TO NORMAL !!
After a spell of injuries and players on their "hols", we were nearly back to full strength. Here we see "Gavin" (no5) back from a serious injury, and "Mike Landricombe" (centre) returning from holiday, to fit in alongside with club skipper "Will Stringer".
"Willy and Mike"
Yet again in our defence !

F.A.VASE

ANDY NEALE
Gets control of the ball !

F.A.VASE

MAN OF THE MATCH
In his short time with us "Andy Neale", known to his team mates as "Rocky". He has performed more than well, and here he puts his name on his first club award. Not to be his last ??. Next game at home to "Godolphin" Sat Sept 13th. No doubt they will looking for "revenge" ??     Stay tuned "lidds"

F.A.CUP

SHANE KRACC
It was some good news before we set off, that we learn of the return to us by the way of "Kracci". Along now with "Ryan Richards" back as well, this can only be an asset to the squad. Both players left for greener pastures, but sometimes to play in your own back garden, is the best option ??. However, we exit the F.A. Cup after the game at "Tiverton". But the general patter coming from the travelling fans will say, we played well , but lost !!. They did score a good goal with a glancing header. But it was enough to give them the slender victory. Not to worry, it was not a Cup we were going to win ??????
                  Stay tuned "lidds"
"KRACCI  IS BACK"
He will be a welcome sight back on the "green pastures" of Bolithio Park !!.

F.A.CUP

"RYAN STRIKES"
He broke away on a through ball , but was seem to be off-side. I was pretty much in line when he received the ball. To me it was a dubious decision ??

F.A.CUP

ANOTHER GOAL OFF-SIDE ??
Yet again we find the target , but again ruled off-side ?. Next game at home to Torpoint Tues Sept 2nd.
