FAIRFORD TOWN F.A.VASE

GREAT RESULT FOR US
This was a good day for us, away from home and
against unknown quality. But I cannot go for
detail as I could not attend. A previous date for a wedding stood in the way. But my spies at the
game namely Alan and Tony kept me informed.
As the speeches were in progress, my
phone was pinging away to tell me we were one up. (Her indoors, and the best man were not amused) Anyway, through to the next round
which is brilliant. Our chairman "Mark Rowles"
will be more than pleased with that. Scroll down
now, to see who was on the score-sheet. But to
finish on a sad note ,with the news that has hit us on the loss of "Timmy Halford" manager of
"Saltash utd", A character larger than life.

TAVISTOCK AT LANGSFORD PARK

"SLAUGHTER OF THE LAMBS" (Not foot and mouth ??)
After some strong words from both managers before the game, not to take the game lightly ? we ran out clear winners. An early goal by the home side was soon taken on board. We then settled down and took control. Ryan Fice from the spot, and soon
after Mark Berry from a "Sullivan" cross. He then went on to put himself on the score-sheet with a snap shot. After the break "Ficee" got his second from close in. To finish the tally, it was Andy Sargent with our second penalty, after a heavy clash in the box with the keeper.
Good result Stay tuned "Lidds"

TAVY AWAY

TWO FOR "RYAN FICE"
His first goal from the spot, sending Andy Meads the wrong way, put us back level after a shakey start.

TAVY AWAY

"MEADSIE" KEPT BUSY
Andy Meads, the long standing keeper at "Langsford Park" was kept on his toes for most of the 90mins.

GROUND UPDATE AT BOLITHO PARK

CLUBHOUSE INTERIOR
While our future plans for a new clubhouse are slowly beginning to materialize, we have to make do with what we have. New table and chairs are now in place, and also a new carpet throughout has been laid. So gradually we are becoming to look like a club that will be a credit to the new set-up with-in the league. We hope you will support us through this period, but I'm sure it will be well worth it in the end .

A fresh coat of paint for "Colin" in his admission chamber !!

LAUNCESTON

WE PAY THE PRICE
This will be the third time running now that the "Clarets" has turned us over. We knew we were in for a battle, dis-regarding the positions in the league of the two teams. "Paul Smith" the manager, has got a good young side together. I dont think they will be in the basement area of the league for long. But it must be said that we were well below strength. "Smithy" himself remarked ,why we said yes to the re-arranged fixture having so many key players unavailable. We wont say who took the bullucking for that ??. A tally of seven first team squad members who would have started were absent. That was due to suspensions and holidays. Anyway no bad eggs, it was still a good night. A good crowd saw 4 goals before the break. Play was end to end with both sides having their chances. But I must say if "Launceston" had a bit more luck in the second half ,the game would have been over and done with for us. We face another local enemy now when we face "Tavy" away. Were hoping for a full squad ??

WITHERIDGE TOWN

LOYAL SUPPORT FOR THE VISITORS
The win at home over "Witheridge Town" put's us flagship in the league. But it must be said the end result was a little flattering. They had their chances to put their mark on the game. Danny Brooks scoring twice and Mark Berry again on target. To complete the tally, "Andy Sargent"continues to get back to match fitness after his injury. He came off the bench and tapped home a second ball, when the keeper failed to hold the ball. So that's five games now with only a single point lost. Although on the day, we did not play well. In my book it's still pretty good ??

ON TARGET TWICE
Seen here on the right of the picture, "Danny Brooks" strike twice. His first a volley from close in. The second one after the break, a free kick. While they were deciding how many to put in the wall ! "Brooksie" stepped up and broke the back of the net from 35yds. It was "cheeky" but that's our "Danny" for you. (brilliant but cheeky)
